Most tag teams are built to lead to the eventual break up - Rock & Sock, The Rockers, Jerishow, Brothers of Destruction, the list goes on.

I think he's referring more to the; Hardyz, Dudleyz, Headbangers, etc

Weren't the Rockers a tag team for 5-10 years? We all remember this shocking event.

WWE recently reached out to Owen Hart's widow, Martha Hart, attempting to get Owen Hart inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame as part of a settlement to end the pending lawsuit she's had against the company. Martha turned down the deal, and at this time, WWE is hoping that in time the lawsuit will be thrown out.

Seriously? You classify those as real tag teams? Those are storyline tag teams and nothing more.

            New Age Outlaws
            Demolition
            Road Warriors/LoD

            The Acolytes
            The Duddley Boys
            Edge and Christian

Those are all REAL tag teams. Did a lot of them break up and have a member go on to have singles success, yes. Did all of them, no.

If the Headbangers hadn't stopped teaming together (mostly because of Thrasher's injury), we'd have never met Mrs. Cleavage!

Looking @ your list and all of them save for the last 3 or 4 were formed in the 80s, and even those were formed in the 90s. Look at the recent history of tag teams and it's either guys that had been singles guys for a bit before teaming up or were clearly meant to be singles guys long term and not built to be career 'tag team' guys; ex. Miz/Morrison, Legacy, Jerishow, ShowMiz, Rated-RKO, Truth-Kingston.

My point is that people have this idealized view of what tag team wrestling used to be or should be when over the past decade it hasn't been that way and probably won't be that way again re: guys being brought in together and built up to be 'tag teams' long term.

It will. H wants to revive tag team wrestling, and he knows what it's going to take.

Don't get me wrong, storyline teams are alright in small doses but that won't revive the division like he wants.

The only problem with Team Hell No is they are so popular that they have been sidetracked away from the Tag division. They should be feuding with Rhodes Scholars or PTP ideally, but instead it's been The Shield and other main event matches.

If they can build up a credible feud with Rhodes and Sandow they can elevate the division. I think the tournament helped though and we have a promising future ahead

I see no problem with feuding with The Shield if they start doing tag team matches, either with 2 of the 3 or some combination of them. They can't keep invading forever and only have 6-man tag matches.

Mark Henry/Christian/Outlaws + new U.S. Title contender coming soon:

Mark Henry's WWE status is described as a touch-and-go situation. Henry was supposed to be back a while ago but he is still having shoulder injuries. There have been rumblings of Henry not returning but most expect him to be back before WrestleMania.

Christian is still scheduled for a return before mid-January, in time for the Royal Rumble. They still haven't decided if he will be returning as a babyface or a heel yet.

As noted before, "Road Dogg" BG James and Billy Gunn have been advertised to appear during this week's RAW Holiday tour events. In an update, The New Age Outlaws are actually advertised to wrestle at Sunday's event from Raleigh, North Carolina. They are scheduled to face Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow. No word yet if they will be wrestling on the other live events this week.

Tonight's episode of WWE Main Event will feature a battle royal to determine a new #1 contender to Antonio Cesaro's United States Title.

Here's hoping Mark Henry comes back at the Royal Rumble and runs through a bunch of guys. That would be an awesome return for him.

Also, I'd prefer Christian as a heel but I think they're better off bringing him back as a face.

I can see maybe The Shield going through a dominant stretch in the RR and Henry toward the end destroying them.

I read that they want to be a little edgier. If they go that way, I think it could be great. Let the Outlaws, Rock, Punk, and Cena loose a little bit.
