There's plenty of factors and of course I'm over-generalizing but CM Punk legitly walking out does not set a good tone for how the attitude is backstage at the moment. (Granted Punk is more pissy than others)
Good thing for WWE that not everyone there can afford to just drop everything and leave.

Very true. If Punk was planning on leaving in 6 months anyway, he really isn't risking much here. He never seemed like the type that was going to want to make appearances in WWE after he left, and by all accounts he doesn't need any more money, so he's in a much better position to do this than most of the guys are.

Well in a different perspective, what if WWE can't afford to pay the stars? Everything is lining up to crap in their face if they can't figure out how to keep the performers happy and paid, including even firing wrestlers in hopes of paying others.

        This article sums everything up pretty well;

        http://www.pwmania.com/officials-vie...e#.UulxoPldUsM

With WWE poised for a network launch here in a few weeks, they have stepped into two humongous piles of **** that is going to take some major league time to clean up, but right here free of charge, I am going to clean one of them up. This is a LAST CHANCE for WWE to get this right. And I hope someone up there reads this and considers it, because even though I criticize WWE, think their booking sucks, and cringe at the career killing decisions they make on a weekly basis, I care. I care about the friends I made up there that depend on the success of WWE to pay their bills and feed their families. All of their paychecks are dictated by WWE’s creative decisions! If the WWE turns off their fanbase with their crappy storytelling and refusal to deliver the goods to the consumers, then pink slips can and will start being issued! And I don’t want that for any of those guys or girls.

Ain't nothing gonna happen. WWE will be fine regardless of whether we get what we want or not.

While they're not in imminent danger here, WCW showed us how quickly the unthinkable can happen and fortunes can turn. Everybody has a breaking point and there are signs that the masses may be reaching it.

I'm not suggesting that will happen, but if they act like it can't, that makes it much more likely to.

They haven't put anyone new in that spot? Daniel Bryan isn't at a Main Event level? Main eventing 4 consecutive PPV's and consistently being in the main event on Raw isn't enough? The fact that he's been in a more featured role than the World Champion as of late doesn't count?

How about the guys they've put in the main event and failed? Sometimes it's injuries, sometimes bad booking, sometimes they just weren't ready/good enough for that spot. We're talking Del Rio, Swagger, Ziggler, Ryback, Miz, Christian, Mark Henry. Del Rio just has never been able to make that connection with the fans, same with Swagger, who got a dui mid push on top of it, everyone finally realized Ryback wasn't all that good, Christian and Mark Henry have become injury prone. I liked Miz during his run, but when it ended, he fell off. His promos stopped being as good, and his ring work, which had improved, fell off. Ziggler is a personal favorite of mine. He's great in the mic, and I love his matches. He's just had bad injury luck, and speaks his mind a bit much to the wrong people. He's the only guy, however, that I look at and think they've dropped the ball with.

Nowhere in my post did I say any of that is not true. But saying WWE hasn't given Bryan/Punk pushes isn't exactly true either. Just bc you're not last on at WM doesn't mean you're not a big deal. It's just a shiny token that punk had in his mind apparently. You know how many all time greats never won world titles, let alone headlined mania? Yet punk quits over that?

This. You know what many people consider to be the best match in the history of the business? Savage vs Steamboat. Did that main event Wrestlemania that year? Nope.

What's also funny about the part timer thing. Who of importance was actually not going to have a match at Mania because of the Invasion of the Part Timers? Who has been missing out on showcasing themselves at Mania the last few years?

I'm pretty sure I said something about staying in the main event. Like permanently. Aka making a new star. You put Henry in that list? I gotta question your opinion now. Dude has thrived since his push (of course when not injured). The fact that you're throwing those others in there shows you have no idea to me. I've NEVER heard any of them get the reaction Bryan gets. They don't have to worry if the fans will accept him or if he's ready.

You didn't say that. But you and the one above you keep looking at it as simply, "look, they got their bone". While anyone debating what you say doesn't disagree that they've gotten pushed. It's how, for how long, and what stopped it. I can tell you the answers to the last two is what gets people annoyed on here and coincidentally, seems to get people annoyed in the locker room.

We want a fresh face that we know isn't going to be pushed to the side in six months. It'd also be nice if they were entertaining.

I'll give you Dolph because of injury concerns. But Punk and Bryan fit that. Yet who do we get? Cena. Orton. HHH. Batista.

Will Punk go to ROH? I heard Cabana isn't really welcome there. Don't know the whole story. Unless he tells them he will come back if Cabana does too.

How cool would it be to see AJ Styles and CM Punk back in ROH?

After resting up Punk should look to landing a job with UFC as a commentator. Think he would be good at that.

I can't wait for WWE to sue TNA to oblivion for tampering now like TNA sued them for once. Just out of spite. Punk's still under contract.
