So we are all missing a key element to the Daniel Bryan injury. His last match...Del Rio.

Go back and see how many times Hogan went over 30 days without defending the title. Anyone trying to say DB should be stripped if he doesn't defend in 30 needs to remember, this is wrestling. Count outs are supposed to be 10 seconds but the ref counts like this: "1, 2, 3, get back in here, 1, 2, 3, 4, I mean it, 1, 2, 3".

Yes, if he is going to miss considerable time then they need to strip him, and if they know before the 30 days is up they can use that, but that isn't a set rule in WWE that absolutely had to be followed.

Ambrose, man. Dean Ambrose. Let DB keep the belts.

If he's truly hurt his neck he's going to miss some considerable time. You have to strip him because they can't go multiple PPV's with not primary title story.

I wouldn't hate it if they stripped him, because it'd make storyline sense. Strip him, have a tournament that ends with Brock immediately facing the winner at MITB, then Brock vs. Bryan at Summerslam and Bryan gets the strap back.

There are some weird elements to the Kane feud (Bryan should never be running away - no face should), but I think the momentum has been derailed more by sheer bad luck.

Just because its being called a "broken neck" doesn't mean its doom and gloom. Depending on the injury it could only keep him out a 4-6 weeks. I keep reading its very minor, as far as neck injuries go anyway.

                Guess we'll see.

DB could lose his smile then come back champ vs champ. Worked for HBK.

It would be for the best if DB is hurt to have the title stripped.

They left the door open to strip the title, they're probably just waiting for the result of the surgery. When they have a general idea of how long hes going to be out they'll make a decision.

One of the problems with stripping him of the title, is who isn't in the middle of a feud that can be a credible world champion? Very few options.

Obviously Punk caused the injury to Bryan (or AJ, his sleeper agent) to have Bryan vacate the title, so Punk can return and everybody loves him when he gets the title back and it's revealed he set it all up when Bryan returns and you Bryan and Punk at Summerslam or Wrestlemania or whatever Half-Life: Episode Punk scenario you want.

Well they don't need to strip him now, so they can wait until after Payback if they go that route and use the 30 day rule. Then they have a full month to get that sorted out, rather than scrambling now with all the big names already in the middle of feuds. The only problem is I don't see the Shield/Evolution or Cena/Wyatt feuds close to being over.

Hunter should just take the championship.

Since the debut of Raw when has the world title not been defended for more than 2 consecutive PPVs?
