    This is true.

I'm not saying haphazardly throw everyone together, but there is no reason up-and-coming superstars can't have a feud against each other.

A lot of it ties into how WWE treats their belts - but that's probably a discussion for a different day.

Man Heyman gets cheered all the time. HHH still gets face pops when his music hits. And what do you mean work harder? What more does Barrett need to do? He has called the crowd cosmetic surgery needing slobs and was immediately cheered for it. Zeb Coutler has made fun of illegal immigrants in highly dense immigrant cities and had his catchphrase LOUDLY chanted. Wyatt has tormented the beloved Daniel Bryan, Shield, and John Cena and were LOVED and ADORED during those feuds. Heel Shield ran through the entire roster like 3 times and was cheered to the point where they HAD to be flipped and saved from an early split.

Once you realize that the Heels have all the true characteristics of faces and the faces are just soulless husks, then you realize the true problem here.

The faces need to work harder. The faces hardly exist outside of Shield, and Cena. What faces can you legitimately root for and get upset that they lose outside of Ziggler?

The heels have all the catchphrases, they have the dimensions in character, they have the mic skills, they have the big spots, they have the cool personas, they have the crowd reactions, they have the merchandise. They have the funny segments, they have ALL the charisma. They are the actual human beings that people can actually relate to.

The faces...are just there going through the motions. Think about it, what do the faces even do? Why would anybody cheer for those lame asses? Its not a shock why Ziggler and Shield are the only faces to get love (including DB and Cena) while all the others get meh reactions from top to bottom. Its because they truly suck at being faces.

Heyman don't get cheered all the time like that anymore. Especially after Wrestlemania 30. Even if he does get cheered initially, he knows what to say to get boo'd.

HHH gets those pops because people are confused about him being a face on NXT. Nah, I'm joking. I'll give you that, but I feel that, but I feel it's more of a respect thing.

Zeb gets boo'd too. The phrase is awesome, man. Has nothing to do with him.

Cmon man, don't use Cena as an example against any heel. That's the ultimate exception. That being said, I have no defense for Wyatt.

I still hold to my argument. If you're a heel, you need to have more of a dimension than insulting the crowd or claiming you're the best.

Bottom line is you need a solid heel who is over with the fans to make that face turn like Austin did but still keep the same attitude and same persona. I mean I do find it hard to see Bray Wyatt calling himself a god while doing"Make a Wish Events"!(Dont know how that would go over with the media).

I mean you need a solid standout Heel to flip the script, keep his personality and just focus on other heels. I still like the rumor turn of Cesaro. Have Lensar fight Bryan at SS. Lesnar wins title and Cesaro cashes it in on another Paul Heyman guy yet he keeps his personality and still carrys himself the same way.

Well I think a legend like HHH is going to get a pop every single time he comes out, I know for sure if he's there at Battleground I'm cheering when his music hits.

But now Bryan doesn't get any love? I must be confused with what were discussing
Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, Lightning

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

I can agree that heels havent really been doing heel things lately. Either that or the crowd doesnt react to heel **** the same as they used to. If you dont have a face that the crowd can get behind, and they are facing a heel that oozes charisma, today the heel will blow that face out of the water with the fans.

You can't name me any good faces outside of Shield Cena DB, and that is a big problem. But then again it really isnt a problem. We'll just cheer for Bad News Barrett (and/or other "heels"). Nothing wrong with that really, and I think WWE realizes that now.

Cheer for whoever you like. The crowd has been for a while now.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread

The thing about guys like HHH and Heyman getting cheered is that they are such iconic characters people are literally happy and feel privileged to be in the same room with them. That's one of the biggest reasons those guys get cheers.

Guys like Barrett, Cesaro, and Zeb, they ooze charisma. They demand attention with their dynamic character. That's why people like to see them. But you can't just turn them face when they are like that because they will lose the edginess that makes people like them.

This is one of the biggest problems WWE has right now. They need organic faces. They try to hard to push people on us, like Cena. They just become stale nauseating when they try to do that. Bryan has that, Ziggler has that, The Shield did to an extent as well. But they never seem to capitalize fully on the guys who do get over as a face organically. Its like Vince doesn't want it to happen unless he makes it happen his way.

That sums it up perfectly. Austin and Jericho are the only two guys I can think of that were the cool heels and were able to transition to faces without losing their edge. The Rock ended up being one of the most over guys ever, but I never thought his character was as good as when he was in the NOD giving his opinion on the homeless, world hunger, etc before matches. Guys turn face and all of a sudden the just want to get the crowd to say their catch phrases with them.

I disagree with Cesaro in this statement. People cheer him because of his in ring capabilities. But he is nowhere near ready to be on his own BECAUSE of his charisma. He's still very awkward when it comes to his persona.

I think the charisma is there on his own. It's his mic work that's weak.

That's a good point. Its definitely his in-ring work that got him so over.

There is a report by PWMania (via Wrestling Observer Newsletter) that Daniel Bryan is losing strength in his right arm (or left, I forget) from his neck surgery, rehab is taking longer than WWE expected (they are very used to Cena's Wolverine recovery factor).

                            So there is some dirt.

If true that is a very bad sign for Bryan. Loss of strength in an arm is a symptom all the guys that had the more-invasive neck surgery.

Some Ziggler/Cena news from pwmania and cagesideseats.com:

                                - Benton sent word that Dolph Ziggler spoke with ESPN 97.3 in New Jersey yesterday and said that he feels back at the bottom now after experiencing a career high when he won Money In the Bank. Ziggler said he didn’t know why he’s back at the bottom. He also mentioned Kofi Kingston and Alberto Del Rio as being his two favorite opponents.

"I would like to face Bad News Barrett at SummerSlam. That guy, he's come back from an injury, he's come a long way. He's found a way to recreate himself on The JBL and Cole YouTube show and actually bringing that over to television. He brought it over to television and it's great. I love hearing him talk. He's good and he knows what he's doing. We've only been in the ring maybe two times together and we tore it down. I would love to get out there with him and put on a match that nobody else could follow."

                                - WWE officials have talked about doing a feud between Rusev and John Cena down the line.
