TNA booking has bricks in their heads. I like Sting, but not like this. Why did they do this again? SO JEFF JARRETT CAN GAIN THE FANS BY HIS SIDE FOR ALLOWING STING TO GET THE TITLE SHOT. That is pathetic way to get someone over at the risk of your company.

TNA/Jarrett kinda reminds me of the USWA of the 90's. I enjoyed Jerry Lawler wrestling, but the man must have won the USWA Heavyweight Title 20+ times at his companies expense.

I think that all of this was done to help get Jarrett over as a fan favorite.
    You're right on eveything...except Lawler.

He was the focal of the match as soon as he entered the match. AJ Styles' contrived bump should've been what people were talking about or maybe the fact the match was a good brawl. Instead, it's about Jeff Jarrett's face turn.

Its a shame again that it is all about Jeff Jarrett and why did he allow Sting the title shot.

A few years ago we used to complain about Triple-H, but Jarrett has taken this to a new low if you ask me.

Triple H> Jeff Jarrett. Thats the only difference, Trips is a STAR ..JJ is not really meant to be one.

Decent show , Main Event was great..and I mean great. 1st match was good also. Rest of the card was pretty weak.

JJ is not meant to be a star in our eyes, but JJ and TNA try to push him as a star.

The worst match on the PPV was the blindfold match. How can you have the first match of a feud with the most unbelievable match type. TNA screwed that one up big time as a regular match would have been much better.

LAX vs. T3D as a regular match in the cage would have been fine. Then they go and add that hokey electrical cage crap which was so fake, I would be embarrased if I were TNA. To make matters worse, they didn't allow T3D a celebration of a crowning moment in wrestling history afterwards.

Then they book Jarrett to look very strong there with him allowing Sting to score the pin. Yes that was surprising moment, it would have been better for someone like Joe to get that pinfall.

Re: ***Lockdown - 4/16/07 Discussion Thread***

Here are my takes on Lockdown:

            - the first thing I thought of with the electrical cage was, I wonder if TNA took this from WSX....and it was worse the the WSX or which ever way you want to say it. Even though it was fake or whatever it was it was a shame that the cage was not used much in that match.

            - the blindfold match was stupid to have in a cage match with there fued as hot as it was if you will, but it was a terrible choice of when to have it. I understand why the blind fold match happened, but it happened at the wrong time.

            - Its a shame when a womens match beats a mens match if you will.

            - Sting winning still puzzles me and I think that is what everyone is still talking about is why was Sting given the win and not Joe? Was it because JJ had to prove to Sting that he was different so that is why he did what he did, well again that would make sense if it didn't happen at Lockdown in the Lethal Lockdown match with a title shot at stake.

            - I agree with Candyman it was a shame that TNA didn't allow Team 3D a chance to celebrate such a big moment in there careers.

            - In the Xscape match it was bad booking for Jay Lethal not winning the title after they have spent so much time and effort in building him up.

            Just my cents on lockdown

They should really have gone with a Barbed Wire Cage Match instead. I think that could have worked out 100x better than the crap that they served up to us. It is a real shame that they did this important match with a stupid gimmick.

How could stupid TNA not allow T3D to celebrate in the ring even for 2-4 minutes. Just rather baffling.

I don't think I have ever seen a good blindfold match since the 80's or even dating back to Undertaker vs. Jake Roberts which turned out to be ok. But those were the years that we thought wrestling was somewhat real. I really hope they never have one of these matches again....but TNA is not smart so we will see one of these again.

I'm still puzzled with this and after reading the spoilers for the next 2 weeks as I couldn't resist.................I'm even more puzzled with the crap that they have booked for Week 2 leading into the Sacrifice PPV.

I think that Lethal will get his due soon. If you notice in the "Xscape" match, they booked him rather strong so a loss there wasn't that bad.

I agree with you on all these thoughts Truth. I think that 3 matches + 2 other things really brought down the PPV for me:

-VKM vs. Serantonin - Just release VKM already.....Why is Serantonin glorified jobbers?
-Blindfold Match - This is 2007, not 1989.
-Concept of the Electric Cage - I thought the match came off fine for what they had to work with, but this stupid concept of a match was laughable.
-Bob Backlund - this is getting old already.
-Jeff Jarrett passing the torch to Sting.

              --------------------------------------------------------------

Here I go again with my booking crap, but I would have done something different with Lockdown. My take.

Lethal Lockdown #1 Contender Match for title shot at Slammiversary
Team Angle (Angle, Joe, Rhino, & Jarrett) vs. Team Styles (Styles, Abyss, Steiner & Tomko)

This allows for all the guys that have been feuding for months get one final shot to duke it out as the blow off feud. Also the World Champion should not be in this match. To add importance, the #1 Contendership winner gets a shot at Slammiversary.

              NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
              Christian Cage vs. Sting

The match that would end the feud between these two.

NWA World Tag Team Championship - Barbed Wire Match
              Team 3D vs. LAX

X Division Championship - Xscape Match
Chris Sabin vs. Jay Lethal vs. Austin Starr vs. Alex Shelley vs. Senshi

Almost all these men in the ring have some kind of history with each other leading to this match.

              James Storm vs. Chris Harris

These matches would not be held in a Steel Cage Match. The above matches would be treated almost as the headliners of the PPV. Every match on the card being in a cage kinda kills the PPV imo and it's become to a point of overkill when crappy matches are held inside of a cage.

              Jackie Moore vs. Gail Kim

              Robert Roode vs. Eric Young

              Jerry Lynn vs. Christopher Daniels

Allright my honest review of all the matches in the show, Nothin big but just my opinion.

Pre Show...Well I mean it was allright to have a match in the Pre Show, VKM don't bother me but Raven's little Crew is a joke. There just jobbers. I mean that was a waste of time using them. The match sucked but Still it was only the pre show so no biggie.

                Show Starts

1 - 5 man X title match - Very good match, Sure a bunch of funny spots that I hate but still this was ag reat match. Jay Lethal is the man , same with Alex Shelley. Enjoyed. 8/10

2 - Robert Rhode vs Petey Williams - Well This match could of been a lot better but I see the storyling there trying to build with Eric Young. Even tho its gettin old quick they still have some more time in my mind to make a pretty good thing out of it, Bad thing is it seems like a few low card guys that once they fight no one will even care about. I dont really remember the match to much but WOW that chick has some Knockers. 6/10

3 - Women's Match....I hate Women matches..But this was no question right close to the best I've ever seen. For a womens match 8/10 ..for my opinion 2/10 and a waste of space.

4 - Fallen Angel vs Lynn ...This was a pretty good match. Really nothing special but a pretty good match. 6/10

5 - Blindfold Match ........... 0/10 ..dont even have to talk about it

6 - Senshi vs Austin Starr....Once again this could be a great rivalry but NOOOOOO we gotta put Bob Backland in this? Match was fine but Backlund made it a joke. 4/10

7 - Tag Team Match ....No question a good match, Like others said u put 3d in a match like this they do fine. LAX is great and best tag team in Wrestling. But that Electricity was so B/S it wasnt even funny. Like Candyman said WTF with 3d..No celebration?????????????? 7/10 match but 2 big **** ups I thought.

8 - Main Event.....I'm sorry but 9.5/10. Great Main Event. No question Top 2 Matches I've seen this year and in a long time. Only reason it does not get a 10 is b/c JJ is obviously trying to make himself the star ONCE AGAIN.

PPV 7/10. Great Main Event made me feel like it was worth it but the rest was not that strong at all. To many stupid *** gimmick matches

I'm sorry but scrap this all cage match **** away, Just call it Lockdown and have the main Event (Lethal Lockdown) and the name will still be fine and everything would be so much better.
