It's the same reasons that TV Shows are not expected to get great ratings on Friday nights. I don't know if it holds water, but there's gotta be something to it.badComment

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
Maybe its just easier to set up, film and take the road again? I have no idea how the logistics of setting up a stage taking it apart and hitting the road etc etc, but filming 1-4 shows (Raw, Smackdown, Mainevent, Saturdayslam?) in two days then hitting the road with less complicated house show set ups just seems the logical way to go to save some man power.Comment

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
Speaking of Smackdown on Thursdays is there a reason they quit having it on Thursdays and moved to Fridays? I wasn't around back then but think I'd rather have it on Thursdays to be honest.Favorite Teams:

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
I believe when UPN folded and merged with The WB to create The CW the new network people decided they didn't want to air WWE on Thursdays anymore and moved it to Friday.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
Exactly. The WB at the time had a fairly strong Thursday night lineup. Supernatural struggled in the first season of the CW, but Smallville still did very well (and stayed on Thursdays ntil Smackdown left the network).Comment

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
Honestly, if WWE booked its 3-hour RAW more effectively, there wouldn't even be a need for Smackdown.Currently Playing:

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
Smackdown has been taped on Tuesdays since it started. There was rarely a live Smackdown on Thursday aside from the first episode. I went to one way back in 2000 and it was on Tuesday night.Comment

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
I'm never up late enough to watch it. Says it is on at 10 am as well now, but I usually watch Raw or have it DVR'd so no reason to watch.Comment

Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread
And this is a spoiler's thread, so don't nobody complain... but the Undertaker is being advertised for Smackdown in London later in April. I know the whole "subject to change" bit, but I've seen it both on commercials on UK TV and it is on WWE's own ticket site. Not sure if it is just some farewell tour deal, or post show match, or if it is televised.Comment
