Re: The OS WWE Spoilers Thread

The latest backstage WWE & AEW wrestling news, rumors, results, spoilers and more.

As things currently stand, Rob Van Dam will be finished with WWE after the One Night Stand pay-per-view on June 3rd in Jacksonville, Florida. While WWE Vice President of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis was told to re-sign RVD and made an effort to do so, negotiations have ended, and RVD will be leaving the company.
Bad blood has brewing between Laurinaitis and RVD since Laurinaitis was going over the new company policy that talent could not leave the arena on TV days due to the fact that Sylvan Grenier got a speeding ticket after rushing back to the arena after leaving to go to the gym. During the meeting, RVD sarcastically asked the question if they could go to the gym in the morning before the shows.
Perhaps the breaking point in Van Dam’s relationship with WWE occurred after he learned of the re-forming of ECW and asked to get off of the RAW brand to head the resurrection of ECW and what really happened after that. Also, RVD had asked for time off after signing, citing how WWE offered Big Show a deal where he’d be paid for merchandising rights without having to work for a year. People within WWE felt that to be a dangerous precedent and refused to add that stipulation to his contract.
RVD felt that WWE had limited what he can do in the ring and refused to push him in comparison to Bobby Lashley, when Van Dam felt like he was over way more than Lashley. While RVD’s WWE finale will be before his contract actually expires, he’ll be paid until the end of his contract, but will be off of television to prevent him from working with TNA fresh off his stint with WWE.
At this point RVD is looking at working a limited schedule and make some money from special appearances and autograph signings. RVD also wants to take some time to spend with his wife, whom he has said to love to death, and hates being away from.

<!-- UGO Promotional Code --> <!-- End UGO Promotional Code --> -- Return Of WWE Draft Lottery
The June 11 edition of Monday Night RAW is going to be a 3-hour special. The USA Network’s website is advertising the show as a “Draft Special", which would indicate that the show will feature a draft lottery.

looks like thats the date for orton to go to a show and then a few people from smackdown will go to raw to be jobbers. It better benefit raw and smackdown more and less of ecw seeing how they want to "kill" ecw soon.

Didn't want to post this in the Raw thread.

So, Bret Hart is supposed to be on Raw tonight according to WWE.com. Something tells me it's just a video.

If he's there, like I said in the Raw thread, I'll mark out like a 10 year old. Always been my favorite wrestler, not even a close 2nd.

                    More Spoilers....

Both King Booker and Sharmell are expected to be on tonight’s Monday night RAW Draft Lottery special.

I was hoping he would come back as Booker T. I hope Batista loses at Smackdown and we get an Edge Booker feud. That would be great.

Rumor has it that the Iron Sheik is going to be there also, WWE wants him to go on a rant. That would be cool.

The ECW title match at Vengeance will be Burke vs Cor von vs Punk vs Benoit in a fatal four way. It will probably be announced on Smackdown. This is really looking like a must order PPV.

So, a four man match and five man match? Lame.

I agree with James here, why have 2 multi man matches for World Titles when they did the same thing not too long ago. They should have had the ECW World Title in a tournament spanning to The Great American Bash, this way it could build some anticipation.

Gotta agree with these two esteemed posters. I used to love championship tournaments; I seem to remember an old NWA/WCW tourney from way back. But as I've said many times, my wrestling memory is always somewhat fuzzy...

I think from a booking standpoint it would help to build up the ECW title. I feel as if it is a bit of a joke how the WWE tries to put it on par with the two other major belts, when it was practically handed to Lashley and carried by Vince for several months. A 16-man bracket could be played out over the next month on Sci-Fi (not sure when the GAB takes place, I'm guessing mid-July) with the championship match on PPV.

If I had to guess who will win it, the obvious choice would be Chris Benoit. I really like that they moved him over to ECW. He can be a great mentor and teacher for some of the younger guys in the ring and gives them a true main event caliber performer to headline the brand. What is needed is a good heel to challenge him. I think Burke and Cor Von are developing well, not mention CM Punk, but need a little more development before they are ready to carry ECW or any other show. I would have liked to have seen Randy Orton drafted over there to give him a chance to headline without being in the spotlight of Raw.
