That's funny, because since I got back into wrestling a year and a half ago, I believe there haven't been nearly enough face/heel turns. The only significant turns that I can recall over that time would be Carlito(turning face and then heel a year later when they realized he sucks as a face) and Triple H(who turned to make big $ off of DX). We had a fake Punk turn and a two week Eugene turn, but really everyone has stayed put and I think it makes it stale a bit because it's always the same matchups...

I have been thinking about quiting watching for a while. But since HBK was still in I wanted to see.

Now that he might be going for time off I will probably be done except for the occasional viewing of Smackdown to see how Edge is doing.

Only thing that could save it NOW is combining the brands again.

Raw used to be must see tv for me. It was a show I always looked forward to but last year sometime I gradually started losing my interest in wrestling as a whole. Now I have zero interest in wrestling which is weird because I was a HUGE fan for many years. I can't remember the last time I even turned raw on just to see whats happening.

Its a shame as with the heel/face turns these days, you see these coming a mile away.

Re: I think I'm done for a while...

I still watch RAW every week, or I leave it on anyway. The writing is horrible on the other shows and RAW is pretty bad as well. They have no idea how to use their talent IMO. With Angle leaving, it really killed a lot of my interest. Christian going to TNA hurt as well. IMO, Edge was the best thing going on RAW so now he is on Smackdown!. One thing that has also killed my interest is that the work rate is horrible now. I think a lot of that is due to these guys getting hurt and I understand that, but it's much less interesting.

I won't quit watching, but they are not getting any more money from me until I see a big change. I bought Mania and while it was OK, I felt ripped off considering the price.

Re: I think I'm done for a while...

I haven't watched much at all in the last year or so. Last real good memory I have of watching is seeing Benoit and Eddie win the titles at Wrestlemania 20. I kept watching for a few months or so after that, and pretty much stopped. I saw Wrestlemania 21, and I tried out WECW, but that was a disaster, and since the beginning of that I haven't watched more than a few minutes here and there.

I was actually thinking about trying to get back into it again this summer, but maybe its not worth it.

Same thing happened to me TJ. I was out of wrestling for a long time and then I came back. I think the first time I watched wrestling in probably five or six years was when Orton won the title and Evolution beat him down on Raw. That got me interested again. Now, with HHH hurt, HBK done for awhile, Edge being on SD, and Cena boring me to death, it really doesn't interest me as much. I'm not gonna watch Raw at all tonight for the first time in awhile. I do need my wrestling fix for the week so I'll try TNA.

I never understood why people like this stuff so much. It's all fake, for the most part at least. I remember some dude dying or something a couple of years ago. Stunt gone wrong?

Get the **** out of here with that stunt gone wrong ****.

What the hell is wrong with you?

And what the hell about wrestling is fake? It may be predetermined, but it's sure as hell not fake, these guys and girls go out there and bust their asses nightly for us fans to be entertained, breaking bones, taking years off their lives and all you can do is call it fake and ask if Owen Hart died cause of a "stunt gone wrong".

Edit: Sorry, just the whole wrestling is fake thing really gets under my skin.

Right after the Invasion started I stopped watching WWF. I would watch a SmackDown and Raw here and there with some PPVs thrown in, but I didn't come back for good until '04. But while I wasn't watching WWF/E, I was watching everything else I could. I guess that's because I'm actaually a WRESTLING FAN.

Personally I feel that WWE is the strongest it's been since the peak of the Attitude Era and the in-ring is arguably better all around than ever. It's a great time to be a wrestling fan with the WWE on an upswing, ROH putting on good shows and TNA on TV. Three major league promotions and a boatload of talent, young and old. Watching the next generation of stars come up right now (which started in '02), I feel great about what's going on. It's only gonna get better.

The only thing missing is the violence of ECW. I'm not talking about the garbage brawls, either. Malenko and Eddie could go out there and work a technical masterpiece and there was still something violent about. I don't think that'll ever be captured again.
