    RIP Sensational Sherri

    From The Observer site:

Sherri Russell aka Sensational Sherri Martel passed away, this morning, at home. She was 49.

No other details are available at the moment. Police are currently as her residence with her husband.

In 1991, while managing Randy Savage, Sherri was the only woman ever to win the Manager of the Year award.
I'm so sad to hear this since I was a huge fan. I meet her when I was younger and she was great. Far and away, the best female manager of all time.

RIP Sherri, thanks for all the memories...

She looked really healthy at the Hall of Fame ceremony as well in 2006.

Only 49, how many more people in the wrestling industry will die young

    RIP

Anyone notice that Vince's "death" is more important in WWE's eyes than Sherri?

        Wow and only at 49?!

I always liked "scary" sherri as I remember her. She was a great manager for Macho Man. This is pretty heartbreaking stuff.

R.I.P. you can now holler and scream at the ringside of heaven.

Well what would you do when the possibly biggest angle your company has hinges on the character in this case McMahon being dead? You'd probably focus on that too. It's horrible she passed when she did, but just like with every other wrestler that's currently not on the roster all they've ever done and all they'll most likely do for Sherri is that little picture at the beginning of the show for a moment of sadness and move on to the show. It's not really a caring moment, but that's what they've done for years now.

I don't know, how are all these former wrestlers passing away at such a young age is mind boggling. I guess after years of their bodies taking so much damage hasn't helped at all.

I've always been intrigued by not only the deaths, but the wrestling business as a whole. From what I've read and learned, it's pretty dark.
