Edmonton Alberta Press: Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho has revealed to authorities that he received a text message from Chris Benoit (40) in the hours before Benoits apparent suicide. Jericho who was a fan favorite in the WWE (formerly WWF) and WCW apparently said to local enforcement:
" I recieved a message 5:32 am Sunday, Chris wasn't making much sense in his messages so I called him. He told me Nancy had burnt his dinner and he wasn't having that. He put her in a boston crab before applying his finishing move, the crippler cross face." Jericho (36) said he became concerned when he heard Benoits wife "tapping" in the background." Benoit apparently commented "The bitch didn't tap but I think she's out for the count."
Jericho contacted road agent Johny Ace advising of his concerns for Benoits mental state. Later that day WWE management was informed three bodies had been found at the residence.
WWE Chairman Vince Mcmahon has come under fire from the press due to allegations Benoit's mental state had been "out of character" the last few weeks. Benoit was known as an easy going person and considered by his peers as the best "pound for pound" wrestler in the world. However according to sources he had a "brain snap" at an ECW pay-per view last month over a botched finish. He was also caught masturbating to a photo of Harry Smith, a young up and coming WWE wrestler who is the son of WWE legend Davey Boy "British Bulldog" Smith.
