    SDVR 07 360 Problem?

I'm having a problem with my SDVR... I put it in but it doesn't seem to figure out that I have a Hard Drive. It comes up in the X360 dash popup that comes over, but in game it says something like it's been removed. I'm planning on clearing my cache but realizing that it removes all game updates, I'd rather have it fixed in another way if it is at all possible.

      Weird...

Did you try exiting the main menu to the press start button menu to see if it re-reads it?

And this is only happening with SvR?

        Yeah, only SVR...

        Here's what happens.

After the press start screen, it brings up the select storage device screen. I hit Yes, and then I pick my hard drive in the dashboard that comes from the left. Then it comes up with checking content, and loading, then it comes back to the select storage device screen. I hit yes again, and it brings me back to the dash popup. I select my hard drive again, and it says "The current storage device has been removed. Please select a new storage device."

It's weird, I know. Every other game recognizes the hard drive and can read and write from it.

          Maybe your saves are corrupt?

If you have a memory card I would try moving the entire SvR save onto it. Load up the game without any saves and see if it works.

After that test take out the HDD and load just the memory card with your profile and SvR save to if it works.

If the HDD works without the SvR save that you know the problem.

If the memory card works alone without the HDD than some kind of problem with the HDD.

If neither work, than I don't know. LOL

Dammit... I take the saves off of my HDD... the game writes a new profile save and works. Bah... now I have to figure out if I can use my created wrestlers and such again... hmm... I've got two profiles, one for me and one for a friend that hasn't played the game for a while. I'll delete the one that was written, move my profile over and see what happens.

Take your profile off the Xbox HDD and recover it from XBL. Should be good to go.

I'm sorry? You mean my XBL profile? The profile I'm having problems with is my main SvR profile.

Oh my bad, I thought you were referring to your XBL profile.

That sucks man. Guess there isn't much you can do but good luck!

Hopefully you don't end up losing your stats and CAWs.
