Read a report earlier that said someone reported he was racing a Silver Viper before he crashed.

Either way, he could be looking at trouble...esp. if his passenger doesn't make it out alive or is seriously screwed up.

Hulk Hogan's wife Linda issued the following statement to TMZ.com in regard to the car accident her son was involved in yesterday. "My son Nick and a friend were involved in a car accident last night. Nick suffered minor injuries and has been treated and released from the hospital. At this time, his friend, John Graziano remains hospitalized. Nick is currently at the hospital with John and his family. His sole concern is for the well being of his friend. On behalf of my family, we ask that your thoughts and prayers be with John and his loved ones."

Re: Nick Hogan in really bad car crash

Here is more information about the accident. All I can say is that being rich doesn't give you the right to be stupid. But I guess teenagers will be teenagers..

Nick was caught speeding earlier this month in Florida. He was going 82 in a 45 mph zone (at 10:30 AM). Oh, and he was speeding in a construction zone with workers present - which makes it worse).

He was also cited for failing to wear a seatbelt.
Whats worst is that the idiot that was driving is not the one thats in critical condition. Why is it that the driver is always the one thats ok, while everyone else gets hurt by the driver's ignorant actions?

Yup, cause the passenger definitely didn't want to race that other guy... he was wearing horn rimmed glasses and was wearing a button up shirt with a pocket protector.

I mean, c'mon... he was probably pushing Nick to go for it! I know you can beat that guy!

                  I don't think he's so innocent.

I'm not only talking about the passenger. I'm also talking about the innocent lives he COULD of taken because of his stupidity. Workers, as well as regular people were in danger cause of an idiot kid.

                          His family attorney statement.

Nick and the entire 'Hogan' Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007. Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena - a court of law. The family’s primary focus and concern still remains for the
continued recovery of Nick’s longtime friend John Graziano. The Bolleas will also continue to stand by the Graziano family and help them in any way they can.

The tragedy to both families is compounded by the fact that unfortunately
John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his. Because of what happened to John, the entire Bollea family will make it a priority to increase public awareness about the importance of always wearing your seatbelt.

There has been much speculation as to the speed and wet road conditions
surrounding this accident. Although all the evidence has not been evaluated,
preliminary reports from the experts indicate that this was not, in fact, a
                          high-speed accident.

Because Nick is still a juvenile and has no prior criminal record, we are
disappointed that he is being charged as an adult offender. However, we are
confident that the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident.
We ask all who follow these events to keep an open mind as to the facts until they have been ultimately determined. Finally, we thank all who have prayed for John’s recovery and ask for your continued support and prayers.

Those are some pretty serious charges and from all I've heard and read, none of this comes off as being purely an "accident".

Seems very similar to the accident hockey player, and fellow Calgarian, Dany Heatley was in when he played for Atlanta.
