    Byran Danielson Heurt Again

Yup, he's been back all of three months and after one of the greatest matches I have ever seen...has a detatched retna. Talk about paying the price!

OK, I really posted this to talk about his match with Morishima on Saturday. Believe the hype! This was one of the best matches I've ever seen live (or on TV, for that matter). The rest of the show was really just blah (aside from the debut of my boy Ruckus, which had me marking hard) and the fact that this went on second to last kinda hurt the drama (Morishima isn't getting beat before a Briscoe match), but I was leading the Dragon chants while my brother was leading the Morishima crowd. Just an awesome feeling being in that crowd. Probably the best crowd for a match I've been a part of since Orton/RVD at ONS II.

So yeah, buy the DVD, hunt this match down, whatever...just see it.

EDIT: I know, I screwed up the thread title...
Definitely looking forward to this match.

Unfortunately for NWA, we will now see Gunner Sc... I mean Brent Albright vs. Adam Pearce for the NWA title... My money is on Albright now.

I've heard many great things about this match, some are even calling it a 5* bout. Hopefully it'll live up to hype

From the live reports I read, it was actually a really solid show. Richards-PAC was the only match to get really negative remarks, and most seem to be because of Richards trying to portray Benoit circa-1996.

I'm tempted to make the 2.5 hour drive to Chicago in a couple weeks for the PPV taping to see the Briscoes-Kel Steenerico ladder match. A Briscoes win seems obvious, but the match should still rule.

nothing wrong with Albright... obviously I think Danielson would have won... but still, I think Albright is a decent choice. JJ you can edit titles whenever you want btw.

          Re: Byran Danielson Heurt Again

The biggest problem with the show was the pacing.

Jigsaw and Quackenbush against Stevens and Cross didn't excite me but it was a decent opener. I don't know what these people are talking about with Jigsaw because he didn't impress me in the slightest. Quack is cool, though. The match had no storyline attacthed to it and I don't care about Aries' crew on their own.

Six man was boring and the crowd had no idea how to react to Albright, since we like him but hate Pierce and don't give a crap about Whitmer. Beatdown on Pelle was OK. Delerious was rocking a goatee and it looked strange.

Pac/Davey was horrific. Davey tried to do some stuff because he knew Pac was off/sucked, but it didn't work. Send Pac back to PWG, or England or wherever the **** they got him.

Jimmy Jacobs' return against Mitch Franklin was video wire status. Scratch that, because Frankin ain't ready for the main show.

Aries/Evans/Strong was good. People complained on the net because it was used for angle advancement, but with the way the booking has been in ROH lately and the angle it advanced, it was like a breath of fresh air. I'm getting a Vulture Squad shirt as soon as I can. btw, I don't think there's a single wrestler that's grown on me as quick as Jack Evans has.

Intermission was funny because some asshat that was enjoying the show said I was "bringing him down" (I was talking to some other guy who agreed the show was eh so far). This douche bag tells me that even if wasn't that good, it was still better than anything on TV. I replied, "What in the **** does that have to with anything going on tonight?" Of course, he had no answer.

Ruckus against Eddie Edwards was the popcorn match. And even though I again marked for Ruckus, this was the video wire match for the show. An NYC show called Manhattan Mayhem II and we have two video wire squash matches...

Hero/Claudio was a bit disappointing. Maybe it was because by this time I was absolutly BOMBED, but I had higher expectations. It was good, and Dempsey at ringside in this shiny silver outfit stole the show. Plus, I was drunk so Sara Del Ray looked great...And Hero did something during the match that was Flair-esque(really can't remember) so a small "Your not Flair" chant broke out. I yelled "You're not Flair, you're more like Ronnie Garvin". At this point, I became the crowd MVP.

Now this was where I thought they ****ed up: Morishima/Danielson should've went last. I know Dragon won the belt on the second to last match the first time, but there was no way Morishima wasn't losing in a real main event. As soon as I heard "scheduled for one fall" I knew the result. It still was a great match, though, but some of the drama was sucked out as far as I'm concerned. But in the end it doesn't matter because the match ruled and I continued being the most vocal member of a hot hot hot crowd.

Tag Title match was you're better than average Briscoe spotfest, but they do that style so well I can't not like it. But Gabe is so obsessed with this reverse brain wash crap. I hated the fact the went over in two straight. He's been doing it to death.

I left the Mannhattan Center yelling "Man Up", almost got hit by car, told my brother where we could catch the train...and that's all I remember until 2 the next afternoon.

So yeah, eh show aside from the Vulture Squad and the world title match.

btw, I didn't know that SS, thanks!
