The thing is, Dinsmore going to TNA and ripping on the WWE for his poor gimmick would actually work if TNA hadn't wasted their cheap shots at the WWE so many times in the past. Guys like the DX reject have no legitimate reason to be ripping on the WWE so it was just stupid. On the other hand, Dinsmore is a very talented guy who never got a fair shot in the WWE because of his gimmick.
Too bad for Nick, though. Regardless of the gimmick, I'm sure he was making more in the E than he will anywhere else. He'll land on his feet though, he's a talented guy. Either TNA will snatch him up or he'll find some dates in the indy scene if he wants.Co-Commish of the OS Vets I & II

wrestlers shouldn't blame a bad gimmick for the reason why they got fired... remeber Stone Cold use to be "The Ringmaster" and The Rock use to be "Rocky Mavia(sp)".. there's been many examples of people busting out of bad gimmicks to later become mega superstarsComment

Alot of guys who break through with bad gimmicks break through because they're repackaged. Rocky Maivia didn't get over, The Rock got over. The Ringmaster didn't get over, Austin 3:16 got over.
Eugene was never repackaged, they tried a heel turn and then pretended like it never happened two weeks later.
I really wish they would have had him start over on ECW when they became a brand last year. When he came out and got his head bashed in by Sandman at last year's ONS, I was really hoping Sandman "knocked some sense into him" and Eugene would come back repackaged.
Hell, I hoped for that after Vince shaved him bald

From all accounts he's a good wrestler but he was given a bad gimmick. However, that's no excuse. I have a feeling he kinda gave up knowing that he was in a bad gimmick but if you really love the business and your job you'd find a way to shine even in crappy gimmicks.
Steve Austin's ringmaster gimmick was essentially the look of what SCSA would be but it was very plain. Austin didn't give up tho and he put on some good matches and impressed those in the back. Same goes for Rocky.
An older example is George "The Animal" Steele. In the '70s his gimmick had a lot more punch to it but it was reduced to a cartoon joke but he was able to still be a novelty and kept his career going for a few more years based on that alone.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Hopefully TNA brings him in and gives him a gimmick as a mad doctor who issued steroids to others that have been suspended up north, then try to convince TNA stars they need the steroids that worked for all the WWE wrestlers...........and then all the TNA wrestlers including Kurt Angle turn him down.Last edited by highheatkingsb; 09-02-2007, 04:25 PM.Highheat's O's Franchise

You're funny.. not sure why you wasted your time posting that.. the Beniot tragedy is nothing to joke about/ have in a wrestling story line, 3 people died/ 2 murdered...not too mention the affects of steriods have killed people/wrestlers... you think no one in TNA has done steriods, please... Scott Steiner... seems to me that today alot of wrestlers take or have taken steriods/hgh... I'm not naive, but when watching wrestling I don't think anything of it, just like when watching a movie, I don't think about which actors do drugs/ and which ones don't... pro wrestling is entertainment not a sport... next time think before you post somethingComment
