My idea on how to book Ric Flair

I realize his status is up in the air right now, but I'm booking him. And if I was booking, he wouldn't be up in the air.

Ok. Cyber Sunday it's HBK vs. Orton. Prior to the match, Orton and HBK cut promos. Orton drops hints about Evolution, and HBK talks about being the best of all time.

HBK and Orton are having a great match, then the ref goes down. Out of nowhere Flair's music hits. HBK is smiling thinking he's gonna have Naitch in his corner. Orton slips out of the ring, staring at the scene between the two legends. Flair gives Orton a look and HBK turns around to look at him. Flair low blows HBK and puts him in the figure four. Orton does the pushup looking thing, waiting for HBK to stand, then he pounces...RKO! 1!2!3!

The next night on Raw, you have a huge opening. After JR and King do their welcome, Evolutions music hits. Orton and Flair come out in suits. Flair cuts a killer promo about Randy being the future of the business and all that crap. Randy starts talking and HBK's music cuts him off.

HBK starts talking down to Flair and Orton, saying Flair is whoring his legacy and stuff like that. Then HHH's music hits.

HHH is in mega-tweener mode. He talks down to Orton and HBK and tries to persuade Flair to his side. That night you have a tag match, Orton and Flair against HHH and HBK. After the finish it looks like Flair is gonna hit Orton with the chair but instead he decks HHH and then HBK.

This turns into a triple threat feud with the blowoff at Survivor Series. HHH goes over at Survivor Series and HBK takes some time off. The next night on Raw, HHH and Orton have a rematch for the title. Flair gets involved and hits Orton with the belt, costing him the match. After the finish, HHH goes to hug Flair, but Flair decks him too.

The next week on Raw Flair explains himself. He says that HHH wishes he was him and he'll never break Flair's championship record. They have a war of words which ends up in an epic feud.

They feud all the way through Mania with the titles changing hands variously over that time. At Mania HHH goes in as the champ. Flair wins the title at Mania, in his last match. He retires and is inducted into the HOF at Wrestlemania 25.

Alright that's it. Looking forward to hearing your guys comments, and questions. Thanks.

I think that would be interesting to watch if it were to happen. I do think the WWE needs a good stable right now, they haven't had one in a long time.

As for booking Ric Flair, just throw him in the ring every show for 10ish minutes and have him go "Woooooooo", the crowd will go nuts.

keep him on smackdown, have him keep losing and hope he finally retires one day. Don't put him in a major angle with HHH, HBK and Orton put somebody good in that position.

Flair should get another title reign. He's still better than half of the roster, and this is at age 54 or whatever. Want to make the ECW Championship mean something? Put it on Flair.

I completly disagree with you. Flair is completly washed up. I feel right now the ecw title means nothing and will still mean nothing if you put it on flair.

But to each their own, if thats how you feel about flair thats fine. I was personally glad to see him get traded to the minor leagues of smackdown.

Flair may not have the chops to put on an athletic showcase but he's forgotten more about wrestling psychology then we ever dreamed to know. I think Flair has at least 2 or 3 great matches left in him. The tables would have to be turned tho as he'll need to be carried but that's not the worst thing to happen.

I like the idea of a Flair/HHH feud with the title and the blow off at 'Mania. I'd also like to see a reformation of the Horsemen during the feud and have them provide backup for Flair when need be.

It'd be cool to see the Horsemen give HHH a Dusty like beatdown

Flair and HHH have already been done and HHH owned him, Flair is just to old to put on a great match.

I disagree. With a talented guy like HHH, Flair could put on a great match. No doubt in my mind that HHH will put him over.

I feel Ric needs to hang it up. He would be a great manager for a Bobby Rhode type character, that WWE is lacking.

Re: My idea on how to book Ric Flair

I think I'm going to stay out of this one, obviously I've said my piece but their are a lot of wrestling fans that feel Flair is actually good. I got interested in the wwf in 1991 thanks to a friend and I never really got to see flair, yeah I watched him when he was in the wwf in the early nineties but I couldn't stand him even Bobby Heenan was always prasing him and I was very thrilled to have macho man defeat him at wm 8 for th world title he won at the rumble that I felt he did not deserve being so new to the company.

Growing up in British Columbia, Canada I was never exposed to the NWA or the WCW product until the mid 90's which I guess doesn't really give me the right to critize Flair having never seen him back in the 60's when he was any good.

I am, have been and always will be a fan of Bret Hart. Seeing him wrestle in 1994 in Vancouver was a huge thrill even though it was just a house show. It was pretty cool to meet his sister in 2001 as well and to have her as my boss during my practicum.

So yeah I'm going to stay out of any ric flair stuff here at OS, having never seen him at his peak its not fair me to say bash him constanly.

I know this is off topic but I just had to say my piece because I have made comments in the past that were not fair and unjustified.
