    ECW Thread: 1/8/08

Cool new intro. I haven't watched in about a month, so it's new to me.

It came from the SD/ECW talent exchange. It's basically just been this match over and over and over.

Why was Shannon Moore ever a part of "3 Count"? I don't think he's ever had one in his career.

Hearing "And the winner...as a result of a disqualification" on ECW is very annoying.

            So sad.

              Agree. Same with the countouts.

Vince is too much of a egotistical jerk to continue to use someone else's vision. That's why ECW is different than it was, even though it was more like it was when Heyman was still an on-air and creative talent.

If I killed off every last relevant promotion, I'd have an ego, too. But I don't think it's ego with this. He only knows how to promote the product that made him a billionaire.

Yeah, there are too many crap finishes on "ECW". It's turning into Raw from years ago.

But I don't know what this taking the fun out garbage is. I have more fun watching WWE than any promotion. The drama, the excitement, the personalities. Oh wait, they don't do movez...yeah, no fun without those.

                      Re: ECW Thread: 1/8/08

I agree with a few of the guys above me - the "ECW" that's on now is a strange, twisted living monument to something that once was great but now without a doubt is dead and buried, replaced by Sunday Night Heat. What pisses me off is why it has to still be called "ECW." What's the purpose of that?

IMO, the current WWE is unwatchable . . . and transformed me from mark to non-fan pretty effectively. Can't even watch Raw for 5 frickin' minutes anymore. Bleh.

Real legends don't die. But if enough people say it is...

Then maybe it never was a real legend?

The original ECW will never die in the minds of those who experienced it first hand, and I certainly will take dozens of ECW associated memories to the grave, however for younger wrestling fans, and future wrestling fans, it most certainly is being buried. The current iteration will prevent new or young fans from looking into what ECW was.

Who cares about them? I'm being serious, because I don't give a ****. It's not like them watching ECW means anything. It won't bring it back, it won't make anyone money. If you got the memories, shouldn't that be all that matters?

EDIT: I'm watching the Rumble match now. I forgot about that huge ECW chant when Dreamer was in there. People saw that Rise and Fall DVD.

As I've said before, I was one of the true hardcore ECW fans back in the day - I still have a pro-ECW instinct . . . and it kills me to see what's happening right now. But alas, it is what it is - too bad Heyman didn't have a clear head.
