I might pick this up. Like many people my age I was into wrestling back in the Hulk Hogan/Macho Man/Ultimate Warrior days and then got out of it, only to be pulled back in by 3:16 and the Attitude era. My only real experience with Stone Cold was with the post neck injury Austin that was very limited in the ring. He didn't do many moves but he was a heck of a story teller in the ring and was willing to sell for his opponent, no matter how low on the totem poll they were, which is something the old main eventers never did. And the pop he would get from the crowd was infectious and just made you want to root for the guy even if he was inherently an unlikable character. I'm interested in checking out some of his older matches and even some of the later ones. I have the Mick Foley DVD which contains the Stone Cold vs Dude Love match-up (the second one from Over the Edge '98) and its very good. Definitely not a show piece for technical wrestling but an entertaining match none the less.

I thought some of Austin's best work came after the neck injury. 2001 was an awesome year for a lot of guys, especially Austin. His matches with HHH, Angle, Benoit, and Jericho were really good. Austin/Rock at WM17 was the best WM main event I've seen. Even his work outside the ring was just pure fun. Psycho-paranoid-heel Austin was such a great way to develop his character even more.Comment

I have to disagree with the austin vs. bret hart ss 96 match, the match was good but not that great, I think bret hart gave way to much during the match and it wasn't very even at all. I prefer the I quit match at mania 13.Comment

I think they were just trying to put a lot of matches that weren't on other discs onto this one.
You gotta know 2 or 3 atleast more Stone Cold DVDS will come out over the next 10 years.Let's Get Ready To Rumble!Comment

Yeah, we gotta keep in mind that quite a few great SC matches are on other dvd's, and the primary WWE DVD purchaser buys multiple ones (like the guys here) so they want different matches. Puts the WWE in a tough situation...leave off some good matches cause they've all ready been put out, but then the compilation isn't as good as it could be. No perfect answer.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
