If we don't want any cheating champions, we may as well just quit having heels.
My buddy who I watched it with said "No, don't ring the bell ref!" I was miffed at first, but then I got pissed at Orton.

I haven't had so much hatred for a heel in a long time. He's a great heel.

Also, I'll never get tired of the great mixed reactions Cena gets. That response is precisely why he's so great for the company.

      THE GOOD

      - Nice twist by having Undertaker winning the SD Elimination Chamber match as I expected Batista to win. It'll be interesting to see if UT still faces Edge and if that means the end of his WM winning streak.

      - Orton officially made me a Cena fan DAMN YOU RANDY DAMN YOU TO HELL! Honestly, that was the type of match Cena needed to give him some sympathy and respect from the haters. I still hate his personality but I gotta respect him after being jobbed like that.

      - The return of Big Show and it looks like we may have a Show vs. Floyd Mayweather match at WM? I think that'll be pretty cool if they book it right.

      - The 2nd Elimination Chamber match was pretty good.

      THE BAD

      - The Vegas crowd was so dead that I fell asleep a couple times during the show. I mean some people were loud but for the most part that was one of the quietest crowds for a PPV i've ever heard. I bet that's the last time they go to Vegas for a while.

      - Why have an obviously injured Rey Mysterio trying to wrestle tonight? It was sad and pathetic IMO. At least they made it short and sweet.

      - Way too much downtime especially during the intros for each Elimination Chamber match.

      - The first Elimination Chamber match SUCKED!

Man, I wish I could avoid dirt sheets and such so I could have been surprised by things like Taker winning as well. I think to most of us internet wrestling fans it was a given...it'd be nice to be surprised occasionally lol.

I disagree with you about the crowd, I thought they were pretty good...especially considering some of the crappy crowds the WWE had for PPVs during the summer of last year. Their mics didn't seem as amped up as usual though because the crowd looked really into the Orton-Cena match but it came off kinda faint. Also, they seemed a bit tired out by the last Elimination Chamber match, but that's kinda understandable given the booking of the PPV(Cena-Orton wore them out lol).

I also don't agree about the first Elimination Chamber match...I thought it was excellent. It was built more to tell the story between Batista and Taker, but still I really enjoyed it. But, I have noticed most others liked the second EC match more, I dunno, maybe I'll change my mind when I rewatch it tomorrow, but as of now I liked the SD match more.

Man, those shots Floyd laid on Show were straight up legit. But man, how bad *** did Show look when he was spitting out blood, and smiling with blood running down his chin? I'm sure it wasn't supposed to go down like that, but when we look back, those images are going to be what built this going into wrestlemania.

Also, Hardy is going to win the championship sometime in 2008. In a 3 month period, he has pinned cleanly... HHH, Randy Orton, and Shawn Michaels. Not to mention him kicking out of the pedigree last night. I mean, seriously, you can count on one hand over the past 3 years who have kicked out of that move. The Pedigree is an immortal finisher in WWE. It's like Hogan kicking out of the peoples elbow, or Warrior kicking out of the boot and leg drop. They've built Hardy up so much, that he can't not have the title sometime this year. It would be a grave injustice to all involved.

Never thought i'd say it, but you're right. I love Flair, he's in my opinion the 3rd or 4th best overall wrestler in the history of this sport. But he can't do it anymore.

But he does deserve to go out like this, after all he's done. (Including the past two years putting over several young superstars.) Flair deserves every last second of what he's getting.

For anyone that says Floyd would beat the hell out of the big show b/c he possibly broke his nose last night, well um....Big show got down on his knees so Floyd could hit him.

I enjoyed the PPV very much

My Impressions from last night's PPV

-Chavo vs Punk: Actually, I thought this was the best singles match of the night, technique wise. I enjoyed what they did and actually gave them some time to work. I just wish they could replace Chavo or Punk with John Morrison...oh well, wishful thinking.

-SD Elimination Chamber: Honestly, this was a two man match with a bunch of boring "monster" heels. Mizzark and Khali are pretty much the same guy right now, both being the jobber to the stars. MVP got clowned and I don't know why...he has the ability to be a Orton-esque Heel *i'll get to that in a moment*. The only reason to watch this Chamber is because of Taker and Finley. Taker worked pretty well, even through the botch when he went "flying" through the cage. Finley is an awesome wrestler and is stuck with migit as a friend...who can't like that story line? And Boretestia seems to have a destiny of facing Flair at WM.

-Flair vs Kennedy: Poor Ric, he is a mere shadow of what he once was. The man just doesn't have it anymore...he'd be an awesome manager, but wrestling? He needs to stop before he has a heart attack in the middle of the ring. Kennedy was forced to carry the match...and I don't think the match was good. Boring and almost feel asleep.

-Edge vs Rey: Holy crap was this match boring and bad. I don't know what happened to Rey Mysterio, and if he's hurt that's fine, but his past 3 or 4 PPV matches have been very, very bad. He just isn't exciting to me anymore...and I hate to say it but, Edge is starting to get kinda pudgy. The man who used to be all skin and bones is starting to put on weight...and his wrestling ability has suffered. Plus anything that has to do with Edge and Vicky falling in love is -ELVENTY BILLION STARS!

-Orton vs Cena: I hate Cena...his character sucks and he's a complete borefest. That being said, this match was really, really good. I loved the heel vs face interactions and the build of a big match atmosphere and the crowd. A good crowd can make an average match an awesome one. This was the case as it was 50-50 in the crowd with men chanting for Orton and women and kids for Cena. The way it ended was awesome because it shows that Orton, while he might not be able to beat Cena, is smart and knows how to bend the rules in his favor. Only gripe is after Orton hit the RKO, Cena waited till the 8 count to move...I just can't stand superman characters. In short, Orton is prolly one of the best heels that the WWE has had in a VERY long time. And Cena is the pure cashcow of the WWE and him chasing the title instead of being the champ is very entertaining...wait, what did I just say?

-RAW Elimination Chamber: Awesome...that's all that needs to be said. Chris Jericho vs HBK to start it off? Awesome. Adding in Umaga instead of JBL first? Awesome. JBL being the first eliminated? AWESOME! This was a good Chamber match, very good...one of the best. Chris Jericho is just flat out one of the best ring workers ever on pair with HBK, Bret Hart and The baby crippler...I mean Benoit. HBK still has it at his age and will end up like Flair, only leaving when it's painfully obvious that he doesn't have it anymore. Fortunately for all of us, he still has it. Umaga is one of the best workers in the WWE. Last night pretty much sealed what I thought for a long time...he has a great character, he's actually a pretty good wrestler, and he's got the imposing size. He's kind of like Kane, a gimmick that shouldn't have lasted this long, but has because it just works. Unfortunately, Umaga will never get the title because of his gimmick. JBL sucks and will say nothing more on him. HHH was pretty much a lock to win, and not shockingly, he did win. However, keeping the title off of Jeff at this point is pretty stupid. I don't know this to be fact, but I think Jeff Hardy might be able to outsell Cena at this point if given the chance to be the main guy. The crowd is hot for him and after beating Orton, HBK and HHH and also kicking out of the Pedigree...it's time to give him the title...and speaking of which, please retire the "IC Championship". It's nothing more than just a huge beltbuckle at this point.

Overall i'd give the PPV a 7 out of 10.

As you all know, I'm not the biggest WWE fan alive, but last night they made me proud to be a wrestling fan and I have a new found respect for what they are. I have to admit that was one of the best PPV's with the exception of the Flair match I've seen in a long time. The Smackdown Elimination Chamber was worth the price of the PPV itself. I'm actually excited to watch Raw tonight for the first time in years.

Just seen both EC matches and...wow they were both great. Umaga has been improving, those moves he pulled off were sick! and was it me or was the crowd actually booing Trips in favor for Hardy? Jeff has been growing on me...i hope he wins the MITB match at WM. If someone deserves it, its him.

I hate the fact that flair keeps winning clean as well. The guy has been putting on the figure four for the past 4 years and every single time with the exception of jerry lawler the guy will make it to the ropes and either win the match or flair will punch him in the balls and roll him up.

Now he slaps on the figure four and all the sudden the guy will never reach the ropes so they just tap. Its quite pathetic, I can hardly wait till this run is over and Flair is gone. He has the WOOOOORST matches I've ever seen.

To be fair though, Flair does deserve to go out like this. Go out with a bang. He's been one of the top tier wreslters for 40 years now. He's still one of the best the E has on the stick, and has put over many young guys over the past 2 years. Flair, if not the best ever, is certainly in the top 5.

Guys who are legends, deserve to go out on their own terms. It shouldn't be any other way.

He has put over many guys over the past number of years but he hasn't had a good match in probably a decade. I expect him to lose at wrestlemania and retire like the angle calls for. I think he's 1-3 at mania anyways and the only "win" he has is in a tag match where Randy Orton got the pinfall.

I'm just not a Flair fan and I really don't think he is that great of a wrestler but to each their own, many people do like him so I hope they are enjoying his current storyline.

The one thing about the SD Elimination Chamber match I didn't like was that MVP, Finlay, Vis, and Mark Henry basically all looked like little girl biatches. They took one fairly cool move (finisher, cage move, whatever) and then were pinned. Meanwhile you have Batista and Taker somehow surviving like 10 finishers a piece. Just didn't seem spread out enough, I'd rather see the other guys be more realistically beaten down before getting pinned.
