What was the best wrestling game on Gamecube?
I just got my Wii this week but never owned a GC so I'm in the dark here but I want to pick up a wrestling game. From reviews it looks like Day of Reckoning 1 and 2 are the best games and the Wrestlemania games don't look all that great.

I checked out gamefaqs.com about that game and the controls do look similar. Only $14 used at Gamestop, I'll def pick it up this week at some point. Thanks!"You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

While gamecube didn't have much in terms of wrestling titles DOR 2 was the best. The story mode was realistic in the sense that the gamer wasn't fighting at a construction site or shopping mall like in mania 19. The major drawback for me was the lack of titles in exhibition mode.Comment

I picked up DOR2 today, it's pretty darn good. Not quite in the WM2K/NM league for me but it's a lot of fun. It seems a little "sloppy", like the early Smackdown games on PSOne.
I hardly know anyone on the roster, but at least Austin, The Rock, Hogan, etc are unlockable. HHH, The Undertaker and Michaels are probably the only regular guys I'll ever use, hehe.
I didn't know I needed a friggen memory card for this game though, so I unlocked Austin but couldn't save it. Another trip to GS tomorrow!"You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
