That really is a shame, at least when he was with the real ECW Styles was probably the best play by play guy in the business. It is a shame they tamed him down for the rebirth of ECW into some sort of canned announcer.

They announced at the beginning of ECW that Styles was taking a job to head up WWE.com.

That's what he did when he worked at ECW wasn't it? Web development. I thought he owned his own company doing that and what not. Would make sense if that's the truth.

I think you're right. Man, imagine if stuff like Youtube was around back then. If they utilized it properly I'd be willing to bet ECW would still be around today.

Yeah, he ran 1wrestling.com. It's a better gig for him because I never thought he liked being on the road again.

I don't think Adamle is gonna last long. He was horrible last night. Shoulda went with Josh Matthews.

Josh Mathews isn't all that better either but a football guy doing wrestling PBP is just dumb. Adamle is a good college football analyst but he's totally out of his league. I think i'm gonna have to watch an episode soon before he's canned.

I think (and it'd take humility on Vince's part) that the best thing to do would be to get a former hardcore type wrestling like a Terry Funk to do PBP. I've heard him do some WCW stuff as a color guy but I think if he wanted to get back in the limelight as an announcer he'd be good doing PBP while mixing in some color commentary.

Maybe i'm alone in this thought but let's face it WWE needs more guys with actual ring experience calling and commentating on matches IMO.

Not a whole helluva lot actually. He was in a 4 man tag last night with Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore (who Punk has defeated countless times on TV), Kofi Kingston, Deuce and Domino, Shelton Benjamin, and one other. Seems like the push Mr. MITB should be getting while the likes of a washed up JBL and lifelong mid-carder Chavo Guerrero are getting title shots at the next PPV.

Styles is a good guy and I would have been disappointed if he left the company. I think he's smart and will bring some good ideas for the web page.

Adamle is an atrocious commentator- he has no chemistry with Tazz either. Styles and Tazz were fun to listen to together.

Adamle was horrible. He called a drop kick a kick and a simple leg lock a figure four. He will not last because that commentary last night stunk.

Judging by his commentary last night, I was gonna say commentary skills but I caught myself, the guy is totally lost. During the Kane/Undertaker versus Miz/Morrison match, the Undertaker did his signature snake eyes followed by a running big boot and he called it a "knee". I laughed histerically.

The guy is sooooooooooo lame. He even called Taz, "The Taz" at one point. Pretty pathetic.

I could sit here and make a rather long list (considering the show is only an hour) of horrible mistakes by Adamle, but I don't have time for it. Long story short? That was as bad as play by play gets. He's out of his element and just doesn't mesh at all. I don't know who thought this was going to be a good idea.

"And that's the finish!" (during the highlights of the 8 way tag...except it wasn't nearly the finish).
