See, we went to canton to go to the NFL hall of fame. The bears rookies were there and gale sayers and harry carson were giving them a speech before they went into the room with all the bronze bust of the players heads. I met both of them, but didnt really "freak out" over them like i did jake the snake. I waited till Jake got out of the security(they gave him the "extra treatment" and i was worried he was going to be pissed) but i went over to him and asked very politely if i could get a picture with him. He smiled and said sure. I got a picture, thanked him, shook his hand and let him be. He was very nice about it all(this was like 5:30 in the morning also) and he's actually ALOT taller than i imagined. Anyways, i thought it was pretty cool...
Seen a thread about this awhile back, but cant find it..so...

Seen a thread about meeting wrestlers and your expierence(sp?) about the encounter with them. Well, i never encountered it and never thought i would. Except for today i finally did. I know this mans been through personal hell and probably just got out of rehab(heard he went to rehab recently on WWE's dime). But he was an idol of mine since i was 9(im 25 now). I ran into....Jake "the snake" Roberts! I was in canton ohios airport in the morning today June 8th and we just got our tickets(me and my dad) and were heading towards our gate, when i had 2 do a double take cause i saw this giant of a man walkin through the door. I recognized who it was and told my dad who it was. My dad didnt believe me, turned around and kept staring at him like people stare at monkeys at the zoo, then finally confirmed it was him.

My brother Tony, when he was young, got to go into the lockerroom and met Stan "The Man" Stasiak and High Chief Peter Maivia (The Rock's granddad). He got autographed pictures of them. (My father was friends with the promoter's son and used to set up the ring when the wrestlers were in town.)
My brother Mike met King Kong Bundy while they were at a small convience store in Bristol, RI.
I, however, got to meet "Classy" Freddie Blassie when he went to visit my Brit Lit teacher while I was in high school back in the mid '70s. At that time he told me that professional wrestling was 95% fake.Last edited by doncoryell; 06-28-2008, 12:19 AM.If you can read this, thank a teacher.
