Pretty much he said that they wanted him but his contract expires in May 09. That can put all the rumors to bed. Vince IS interested in guys who can wrestle.

Danielson has put on five star matches, won about every indy title worthwhile, and wrestled about every decent guy in the indies...in other words, he has done it all in the indy world. We don't need to see Danielson vs. Nigel Part XIX.

Sure, the guy won't get used right in the E. In all likelihood, he'll just be another Jamie Noble...but, at least he'll be getting paid(and not having to kill himself inside the ring to do so). And for all that Danielson has given to the wrestling world, that's what he deserves.

Danielson would be money in WWE.

They still haven't replaced Benoit -- the serious, technical minded, super-worker. He's a perfect fit. Danielson is the real deal and his skills are respected by people who matter.

Danielson isn't all the other indy darlings and dweebs who came to WWE with full IWC hype, and that includes Punk. He'll be able to hang right off the bat.

Sure, Danielson fits that mold, but I still think his size will hold him back. I know the E is starting to push smaller guys again...but Jericho has 40 lbs on him, Punk has 35 lbs on him, HBK has 40 lbs on him...and those are the small guys. Benoit may have been on the small side, but even he was 45 lbs bigger than AmDrag, plus Benoit's small frame still looked muscular and menacing, whereas AmDrag just looks like an athlete.

Don't get me wrong, I hope I'm wrong. Danielson's run as ROH Champ was one of my favorite things to watch as a wrestling fan, but I don't see him getting pushed to Benoit's level. That being said, I still think he should give it a try as he deserves the pay day and who knows, maybe he can make it big and show everyone why he is the best in the world.

Valid concern. But check out the Morishima matches. He goes at an absolute monster and makes it so believable, that size is never questioned. Same with his series against Joe, with his match at Midnight Express Reunion still being one of my favorites a few years later.

Sure, Vince wants a look. But Danielson's ability in the ring could make you forget Hornswaggle is a migit if they had a best out of 7 summer series.

Don't get me wrong, I know Danielson can work a damn good match against a bigger man. His match against 'Shima from MMII last year was my MOTY...but, I can't see Vince wanting to see an 185 lb athlete taking down an 285 lb bodybuilder like 'Tista.

I hope I'm wrong. I watched his match against Regal from MCW last night and he adapted to the WWE style nicely(and that was many years ago, so I'm sure he could do it much better now given how much he's improved).

Hopefully he brings back the GHC Jr Heavyweight Title next month so we can see AmDrag with gold around his waist again

I really, really hope so. If it happens on an ROH show and leads to a handful of defenses in NOAH, I'd be thrilled.

Plus, if the rumors of this thread lead to Bryan leaving the indies, you got to think this would be the crown jewel that ROH is pushing for before he leaves.

I'm pretty sure he's got a title shot next month in Japan. But the way it sounds, he's being booked in Japan as if it's very possible he'll win. And if he does win the title and hold it for a few months, I'd think we'd very likely see a few defenses in an ROH ring, which would be awesome.

I really hope he's the guy to dethrone Nigel. It'd be awesome to see him get one more title reign before he leaves.
