Well, Now that I think about it, maybe it was a good thing to go on ecw, to get more viewers. I know they got me.

How long y'all think it's going to be until he's champion...or he's going to be on ecw for awhile then slowly move to smackdown or raw ala Matt Hardy

Didn't see this coming, but I like this Christian/Swagger thing they got going. Checmate, I have to agree with you, they already got me watching ECW, smart move.

Welcome back to the big leagues, Captain!

But damn, that return felt kind of flat.

Just wait, next year @ WrestleMania it will be Edge/Christian V. The Hardys for tag team gold. In A ladder match at that.

Christian, Bourne, Swagger, Noble, Finlay, Mizmorrison, TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd), Burchill...

              What's not to love?

Easily one of the better WRESTLING shows out there right now.

I'm sure this will be just a vessel to test the waters for Christian before he is moved on to Raw/Smackdown.

Wow, first Orton, now WWE failed what could have been a GREAT comeback build up! Christian left an easy paycheck for ECW. man

They brought him up already? hopefully it means DH Smith coming back soon...

He debuted tonight. Looked good too.

I agree with JJ that Christian's return felt flat. Dunno if I'm big on him being on ECW either. I feel he'd be better off on SD, he could have been an interested X-Factor in the Hardys/Edge mess. I'm guessing he'll be drafted to one of the big shows this Summer.

Going to ECW will get him an easy Wrestlemania paycheck. I'm thinking he'll face Swagger for the title there(or triple threat with Finlay involved)...and if nothing else, he'll be MITB-bound.

I loved his promo with Swagger. He really seems too good for ECW lol. I'm interested in seeing the ECW rating. I'm guessing the first quarter starts in the typical ECW 1.2-1.4 range, and then it spikes to 1.7-1.8 for the rest of the show.

                      Re: Captain Charisma is back!

Yeah the quarterly breakdown will be interesting, was ECW live last night? I know they've been filming it with Raw but I didn't see any spoilers for that last night. I don't think the return fell flat, it came completely out of left field, I mean really who saw him going to ECW and coming out like that? I know I didn't, I just wish they had his old entrance from after E&C broke up, that would have been bad ***.

I also loved how they made it seem like he had just fallen off the face of the earth the past 3 years, although Matt Striker did get in the hint with the "instantly classic" line. It did also seem a little unfair to Tyson Kidd (TJ Wilson) to debut him on the same night Christian returned, I'd have held off a week when there would have been a spike in the rating to show him off myself.

                        Re: Captain Charisma is back!

Here's my thoughts on the whole deal...

ECW is a great place for a character to be 're-introduced' to the public... or shown to the WWE fans for the first time.

E.G. - CM Punk, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Swagger, Finlay, Lashley, Big Show.. etc. etc.

From there, when you get to be the top dog in ECW, and you get some recognition, you are then moved on to the bigger shows.

This is perfect for Christian for three reasons...

One, he logically did not fit into any Wrestlemania feuds that the E were building. Really he didn't. Having a title match with Swagger at WM is a perfect way to get Christian on the card, get him the belt, and get ECW some much needed recognition. Say what you will about it not being the old ECW, but you cannot tell me that the show is not one of the best pure wrestling shows on TV right now.

Two, being in ECW, Christian has the right to show up on any show he wants, much like Bourne and Mizmorrison, they pop up on Raw and Smackdown with really no rhyme or reason...

Three, ECW is the perfect way for Christian to build back his WWE character. Right away he is now the top face on ECW. This gives everyone the chance to digest Christian as a top dog, and cements himself as a top performer. With time he will of course move to Smackdown or Raw, but for now, ECW is a perfect fit.

The only things I did NOT like about last night were a.) they remixed his waterproof blondes theme (added a 'GO' part, and switched out the female lyrics for a male singer) and b.) Grisham's call of Christian's return... Usually Grish is great... but he sounded so subdued to the fact that Christian was back... of course Striker was there to save him with 'this moment just became instantly classic' <3 Striker.

So, I think we should all just enjoy Christian on ECW for the time he will be there... It'll produce fun TV, and soon enough, he'll be in the big leagues spot light once again... And to be honest, chasing Swagger for a title sure beats 2 minute squash matches of Jimmy Wang Yang on Smackdown, doesn't?

I was just about to say how horrible I thought it was for Christian's debut to happen on ECW with no build-up, but you bring up some really good points.

I hope it works out for him; he'll likely never been a main-event guy, but he can be a solid upper-card hand and help get the younger guys ready.

Christian could be just as big as Edge if booked right. He was always better on the mic (although, Edge has become great as well) and he works well enough.

He was my favorite WWE star right before he left for TNA (and I don't want to get into what a mess TNA is now...). I met him in September and he was nice enough to take a picture with me. On the other hand, Rhyno almost gored me he was moving so fast past me...
The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!

I wish he kept his original un-remixed theme.

Just watched the video, what the hell is the crowd doing this "What?" **** still for?

Christian is AWESOME. I really wish I wasn't spoiled about his return and that it was a total surprise. Oh well.

I'd love to see a Christian/Kennedy feud and, in due time, a Christian/Edge feud.
