    Bringing back WCW

As most of us know WCW was bought buy Vince. Now we know vince brought ECW back which to say ain't all that extreme anymore. But what would ya'll think if vince was to bring back wcw. Would ya'll watch it. It might not be like the old wcw. But I wold love to see wcw nitro back on the air after so many years. I miss WCW so much.

Rest in Piss you ****ty company. Wrasslin' is dead, long live Sports Entertainment!

Seriously though, the name doesn't mean as much anymore. How many times has a WCW chant broke out at a show? Maybe in some backwater hicktown where they chase wrestlers with axes, but they don't matter. SD is sorta mid '90s pre-Hogan WCW minus the really stupid stuff (Shockmaster, Lost in Clevland, YOSHI KWAN). Just the vibe I get where it's not in your face over the top, it's a little more serious than Raw. And if you liked WCW for the train wreck aspect, there's TNA.

tbh, I miss WCW, too. But it was easy to move on for me, much easier than when ECW died. WCW was giving me the same type of product that WWF was, but much much worse. The days of it being different were over for like 2 years before it met the Reaper.

As I've said before,it's called TNA now. I probably wouldn't watch a WWE version and there's not enough wrestlers to go around anymore for another brand.

It's a little too late for them to even consider this. It's been eight years so doing it now would be pretty pointless. ECW had an initial buzz because of the dvd and it still had a loyal following. The same can't be said for WCW after eight years.

Sides, they don't need yet another brand or television show. If they did this within a year of buying the company and instead of the Invasion angle; I would have been all for it. Had Shane been the "Owner" of a separate show it would have at least been interesting.

I don't really miss WCW as a whole, I'd just like to see a cruiserweight division that's on par with the one they had.

Watching some recent utube clips (Hogan heel turn, NWO formation, The Crow Sting...ect) makes me really wish it was back in business. 1995-2000 were the glory years IMO. Raw was strong then as well. Factions were cool, and the personalities/storylines were as strong as ever.

              Damn I miss it.

TNA sucks. It was good until the older guys pretty much took over and pushed the younger wrestlers down.

Isn't that pretty much exactly what happened in WCW?

No. The only reason WCW went out of business was because ted tuner sold out to vince for the money. Even though vince company was more wealthy. In the late 90s wcw was betting vince wwe in tv ratings each week. Buy the time year 2000 rolled around vince made plans to buy out ted tuner for WCW so vince can once again be on top. More people watch WCW on a weekly bases then WWE even with DX and the rock and so on. WCW still had a bigger fan base on a weekly bases. Vince could not handle that. So vince gave Ted turner a 8 figure sum of money for WCW. Mainly because Vince got tired of Ted out doing him on a weekly bases. Vince was scared of the compatition. Thats the main reason WCW went under because vince bought ted tuner out. Vince is a joke.

Not really Panther. Although I agree with you that I miss WCW, thats not the story. Not even the Monday Night Wars DVD tell the correct story. Vince Russo ruined WCW with his goofy story lines and horrible backstage management. Bischoff wanted to put WWE out of business. That was his, Hogans, Savage, and Nash intent. They cared more about ratings then they did about the business. Look at when thing started to turn. Vince had DX, Rock, Mankind, Brood, Hardys, and stone cold. WCW had Goldberg, a 15 man NWO team, and that was it. The cruiser divison was jumping ship. Jericho, Big Show left. Sting took time off because of the politics. You imagine if they would have just worried about taking care of the fans like WWE did back then? WOW. I do miss the 3 hour Nitro's though
                        atleast..Its not Delaware

Speaking of jokes, where did you get your info? The last time Nitro beat RAW in ratings was October of 98. Vince purchased WCW from AOL Time Warner (who forced out Ted Turner) for less than 5 million. The main reason WCW went under was because they were losing millions every year since 99 because the product was terrible.
