Wow, I remember EWR from back in the day when I screwed around with wrestling sims. I just downloaded TNM 6.2 to relive some memories.
Guess I'll have to try out TEW 2005 to see how it improved over time.

    Thanks for the info.

Wow, you still play EWR? That one was the best FREE version of the series. You have to jump and the most recent one though, it's well worth the price. Nice to see 05 get released as freeware, I just wonder when a new one will be announced.

Yeah, I've tried the TEW demo before and never got into it.

It was so deep and took me forever to progress the promotion. Just thought it was too time consuming compared to the easy booking in EWR.

Yeah I played the hell out of some EWR when I had the time for it back in the day. Haven't played any sims since.

            What's changed?

It's so much deeper. It's a HUGE upgrade over EWR, a bit overwhelming at times.

I'd suggest downloading it and checking it out. It's free after all!

Re: TEW 2005 to be released as freeware

I've never purchased a TEW game, but I've tried all the demos; so I'm pretty happy about the freeware of 05. I really want to buy 08, but I just don't have time right now and I'd feel like an idiot paying for a game and never have the chance to use it.

I can also never get into the CornellVerse, so I downloaded an August 1993 mod and am playing that right now. I realized when I was eight years old, the WWF roster didn't seem so crappy. There's definitely some diamonds here but running the company made me take notice of how average most of the guys are.

I'm laying the groundwork for a Hart Foundation (Bret, Owen, Neidhart)/Kliq (Shawn, Razor, Diesel) feud.

Wow, I can't purchease games off the internet like this, so this is awesome!

Also, where can I download a database?

http://www.ewinventory.com/tew05.html has pretty much every mod ever made for TEW05. There weren't many, unfortunately, the depth scared off a lot of modmakers.

TEW 05 was a decent game, but I definitely preferred the much simpler booking games from the 'old' days. If I still had Windows, I'd be picking this up for sure. It's not a bad game, just might be a bit intimidating for newcomers

Both the aforementioned EW Inventory and Bobinc are great places to check for different database mods. If you download, make sure to create the database first in the game's editor, then copy the files over.

The toughest part to me is managing the minutes of your show's time. It doesn't account for commercial time; so when you book a two hour show, you'll be booking the entire two hours. So I'll put together what I think to be a decent-to-good TV show...and I'll have to throw some low-card match together to fill out time. I might drop the show time to an hour and a half to counteract this, but haven't decided yet.
