No longer Great or American,WWE presents The Bash (but it's not at the beach either)

    Tag Team titles
    Carlito & Primo vs. Legacy
Legacy's chance to be more than Orton lackeys so I suspect they'll win.

    John Cena vs. The Miz
Miz's chance to get up to the next level,so he'll be crushed in 5 minutes, especially if these are in order.

    No DQ match
    Khali vs. Ziggler
Dunno what to think about this one but Ziggy should get the win.

    Mask vs. Title
    Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho
Neither thing makes sense but these 2 have put on nothing but great matches. Some sort of draw perhaps?

    Women's Title
    Melina vs. McCool
    Don't care.

    ECW title
    Scramble match
Dreamer vs. Christian vs. Swagger vs. Henry vs. Finlay
I guess Dreamer should win this though he could lose without being involved in the fall.

    WWE title
    3 Stages of Hell
    Ortonbot 5000 vs. HHH
Business as usual here,I hope, then it'll be safe to watch Raw again. Maybe Trips and Miz will win and they can fued. (Yah that'll happen)

    World title
    CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy
After the free wrestling clinic on SD it looks like there'll be some sort of Punk/Morrision fued so I'm guessing Punk wins here.

Re: No longer Great or American,WWE presents The Bash (but it's not at the beach eith

I was actually going to make this thread today and call it:

The Great American BASH At The Beach

    Anyway, my thoughts and predictions:

Legacy should beat Primo and Carlito for the tag titles, or at least I hope they do.

There is a 99.9% chance that Cena will beat The Miz, but I am hoping he at least puts up a good fight because he is my favorite heel. Maybe even some outside interference or cheating could get The Miz the W here, who knows?

Would really like to see The Great Khali beat the crap out of Dolph Ziggler here. Dolph does not entertain me that much.

I would love nothing more than to see Jericho beat Mysterio for his mask, but I doubt that will happen even though he wrestled without a mask for a while back in WCW. A draw seems like the most feabale conclusion.

Melina has bigger knockers so I am rooting for her to beat McCool, even though I'll probably have a bathroom break and check my e-mail during that match.

I like Swagger to win the scramble, but I think Christian has a good chance as well. Just not Henry or Finlay please. They are both extremely boring to watch.

Could really care less about the WWE Championship because other than The Miz I think Raw just sucks compared to Smackdown right now. I think HHH will win, but I guess I would prefer it for Orton to retain.

Now that he is pretty much "officially" a heel, I really want to see CM Punk retain the title, although I would not be surprised at all if they let Jeff Hardy win it. Either way, this is going to be one hell of an awesome match.

Just one comment about the Cena/Miz match-up

There is one person not on this card that is involved in this feud. For those of you that want Miz to win, remember that.

Oh he'll interfere but it doesn't mean Miz wins especially since he was on the end of a chair from the Miz too. Miz winning by DQ makes sense now actually.

On the Rey/Jericho match, maybe I misunderstood but I could've sworn that Jim Ross said that if Rey doesn't win the belt, he has to unmask. Not that it means anything in pro wrestling since they'd just assume no one noticed. If it was how it was meant though, a cheap finish would be out of the question.

As for Miz, I think it would be kind of silly for him to beat Cena clean right now, but if they at least let him put up a good fight it'll help him. Kind of like Morrison in his match with Edge a couple weeks ago.

As long as Cena/Miz isn't a squash, I'll be happy. Just make Miz look good.

If I am interpreting the timing of various posts on a running commentary thread of a dedicated wrestling board correctly, the encounter between Cena and The Miz lasted all of six minutes.

Exactly what I didn't want to happen, apparently did. When in doubt, WWE finds a way to make me angry.

Even though he had some good moments of offense, it was basically a squash.

What a joke. I like Cena, but holy hell, how hard is it for them to push new talent?

I'm reading that Orton retains; there is justice in the world. Go away Triple H.

EDIT: Just read how Orton retained; can the man get ONE freaking clean win? I know he's the bad guy and all, but Orton hasn't had a legitimate win in God knows how long.

Re: No longer Great or American,WWE presents The Bash (but it's not at the beach eith

The PPV was awesome until the last two matches.

The ECW Scramble was a fun opener. I was hoping Swagger would win, but it's cool to see Dreamer get a decent reign. Fun match.

Jericho-Rey was definitely match of the night. They were just great together, as always. The finish was great. This maybe my new MOTY.

The women's match was good for a women's match, but nothing special. Not surprised by Mrs. Taker winning.

The added element of Jericho-Edge to the tag match was great. I loved the psychology of the Colons and Pricelisp avoiding tagging in Rated Y2J. Of course, they ended up winning anyways. I'm guessing they'll drop the titles at NOC leading to a Jericho vs. Edge match at Summerslam, which is A-OK with me.

Punk vs. Hardy was booked to perfection. It continues the storyline of Hardy's quest to be champ while pushing Punk's shady tactics. Punk has been absolutely awesome in this slow-burn.

                              And then it goes downhill.

Miz and Cena was okay if it was a WGN Superstars match. But instead, it made Miz look like a chump. The Raw booking team needs to watch Smackdown to figure out how to have a guy look good while losing.

The main event was above average, but like most Orton-H matches from this year, it was nothing special. I actually liked the quick falls for the first two falls. But the stretcher match was boring, like most stretcher matches. And then of course H has to get his retribution, meaning we get this feud for at least another two months. GREAT :/

Overall, it was still a very good PPV. It's a good thing Smackdown dominated the show though, because Raw still sucks. The only good Raw portion was the one Smackdown invaded(the tag match).

I don't understand how the two shows can contrast so much. I know Vince wants each product to be it's own brand, but he has to be able to see how bad Raw is right now
