Is the E really stale? or...

Is the problem just that they have too many damn shows these days? Back in the day it was 2 TV shows and 1 PPV per month. Now you got what? 14 PPVs? and 4 weekly shows. IMO this hurts WWE A LOT when it comes to actually building feuds. Nowadays it seems like feuds are so rushed that they don't even hold my attention anymore.

I remember back in the Attitude Era we had epic feuds like HBK-Hart, Austin-McMahon, HHH-Rock, Rock-Austin, HHH-Austin ect ect. Those feuds would last a very long time, now we'd be lucky to see a feud go beyond 2 months. I also think the brands have a lot to do with the E not being exciting anymore.

I honestly think WWE should go back to the 2 shows or at lease 1 PPV per month, but that will never happen. Thoughts?

The top of the card on Raw is stale, but everything is else is fine enough.

They have to do a better job with talent development. That's the root of every problem they have. Every new guy falls victim to either the parity booking or their own inabilities. This has been happening for too long and nobody's gotten too over. That's why we have the same matches on top and it is stale. They gotta protect these up and comers better so they can move up the card faster and we can get some new match-ups.

As far as too many shows, if they weren't so scared to push guys it wouldn't be seen as a problem. Having that many hours to fill isn't a bad thing, but it's not being used properly. Six hours to hype matches and characters shouldn't be getting such ****ty buyrates.

I think it's development as well.

First off, in their attempt to do fan-friendly or kid-friendly, you essentially don't see the heels ever really get over. You don't have those big feuds because there are no "true" heels. Obviously you had Orton have a good run but it always felt like he was just barely winning every single time. There hasn't been a real dominant heel since HHH in 2002-2003.

Development-wise absolutely... these guys are TERRIBLE on the mic. Awful. I think that goes a long way in developing a character, developing a rapport with the crowd, etc. Now this has a little to do with how the WWE does their interviews. They typically make people rehearse them so much that you don't see guys pause to give the fans time to react, and nothing seems spontanious it seems very forced.

Raw certianly is. SD is trying new things with new wrestlers so I don't think that is but it doesn't do very well in ratings between being on on fridays and on a network it seems most people don't get.

The only thing I find stale about the 'E right now is Raw. Smackdown and ECdouble are really making Raw look like fools as far as quality goes. On the other hand, Raw is the money maker and could put all the crap on there and people would still watch it *I 2005 is a pretty good example of that.*

I hear a lot of good things about SD, it's a damn shame I don't get the channel they are currently on.
