Bryan Danielson finally making his way to the WWE.

Ring Of Honor issued the following press release:

Bryan Danielson has agreed in principle to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Bryan has been an ********* talent and a wonderful member of the Ring of Honor locker room and family since the inception of the company. We couldn’t be happier for Bryan and all of his successes, many of which Ring of Honor has been proud to witness first hand.

We congratulate Bryan on the beginning of this next journey in his brilliant career, and wish him all the best as he progresses. Many Ring of Honor fans refer to Bryan as the “best in the world” and we look forward to looking on in earnest as he shows everyone watching the wrestling world’s biggest stage just why that is.

Bryan will appear as scheduled at all of the September Ring of Honor events.

I don't watch ROH at all (only really ever watched WWE), and I don't know who Danielson is, but I just wanted to say that that is a very nice respectful press release both towards Danielson and towards the WWE. Classy organization.

      Ha! You beat me.

But yeah, this is awesome news. On the night CM Punk main events SummerSlam, no less.

Re: Bryan Danielson finally making his way to the WWE.

No idea what show he'll be on, but he's not going to FCW. I would've sent him there for like a month to really hammer down the timing/scripting issues while having him work house shows at the same time. But what do I know, I run liquor stoes and not a pro wrestling promotion. He'll be fine either way, so who cares.

btw, I'll be at his final ROH show...and I'll be yelling "get that money!". Can't wait to smile in the faces of the ROHbots that cursed me out and threw **** at me when I would yell "sign with Vince!".

Seriously though, this is great for everyone involved. Fresh match ups in a new setting working a new style, he gets paid and a whole new set of fans can witness his talents. There were only two things left for him to do outside of going to WWE anyway: a feud with Davey Richards and conquering Japan. The second one wasn't going to happen anytime soon for a few reasons and he's having a match with Davey 9/25 (which I'm thinking about making the trip to Boston for) that you know they're going all out for, so this was it really.

Like I yelled at my brother as I stumbled out of the Hammerstein last year, "if anyone in pro wrethtling detherveth to make a million dollarth a year, it'th him!". LET'S GO DRAGON!

He's not going to FCW? where did you read this? My only concern is the E misusing him.

Didn't read it, someone told me. They're not looking to screw this up, they are seriously behind him. Creative is already thinking up ideas. For what show, my friend didn't know.

Hope you're right. It's going to be a long month. Can't wait to see him make his debut.

We'll see if they're still planning a huge debut for AmDrag once Vince meets him face to face and realizes he's a pale midget

It is to bad he'll never make it

He might as well just tattoo Coca-Cola on his arm.

I think he'll be going to SD to fued with Morrison as the Summerslam results left him with nothing to do again.

Comparing apples and oranges. The only similarity is the fact that they're both indy darlings.

For every Punk, there's a Kendrick, and London, and Cabana, and Noble, and Bourne(I know, he's over, but he's gotten lost in the shuffle fast).

Punk has a unique look, unlike Danielson.

Punk already had top-tier potential promo skills before his signing.

Punk wrestled more of a WWE style, minus the Pepsi Plunge, obviously.

Punk has about five inches and 40 pounds on AmDrag.

I love Danielson, but there's no doubt the deck is stacked against him here. I'm rooting for him, but I'm afraid he's going to get Taz'd.

Will this prove that WWE is finally interested in technical wrestling again? Who knows. It's good to hear, though. At this point I don't quite know how this is going to work out.

Danielson is world class, those guys are middle of the road. Kendrick, London & Bourne were really just flippy workers and Colt was tailor made for the midcard. All of them were clueless as to how to play the political game and that's what sunk each of them in the end.

Danielson has wrestled every style, is waaay more talented than all of them and has important friends.

Forget about Taz, he was never on the level Danielson operates at. He's going to be Benoit.

So obvious things first. I love ROH. To me, Ring of Honor equals wrestling, and the promotion that got me back into it. Bryan Danielson is by no exaggeration the epitome of what that company is all about.

But Danielson didn't have anything left to do on the indy scene. And of late, he's become arguably one of NOAH's top geijins. Not quite what Prince Devitt means to NJPW, but Dragon is incredibly well received in Japan. In short, he is the definition of a world class technical wrestler. He can wrestle any style, any opponent. I have NEVER seen Bryan Danielson have a bad match, and I've seen nearly all of his ROH work.

In this business, though, you need to take a contract when you can. His popularity is higher than ever, he's got the right amount of experience and training to make the jump, and his predecessors are succeeding on WWE airtime.

I'm heading to the 9/25 Boston show and can't even wait to see his matchup against Davey Richards. I'll be setting my DVR shortly thereafter to make sure I catch all his work on TV as I did when Joe and Punk and Homicide and Sydal (Bourne) jumped over. And while this might mark the end of my impulsive ROH DVD buying habits, Jiggy's right ... the wrestling world needs another Benoit. And Danielson has the potential to be that good, in ring. I can only hope that Punk and Danielson can headline a Wrestlemania as Eddie and Chris did before tragedy struck.

Congrats to the best wrestler in the world. The WWE audience will agree with me shortly.
