And I don't like that bathroom break type stuff. Main events go last, in order. That's it.
It's just old school booking. The match between is called the cool down match and it's meant to calm the crowd down a bit so the main can take them back on a roller coaster ride.

It use to be solid crowd psychology but doesn't seem like it works as well anymore. Maybe too many women championship matches over the years under conditioned the crowd.

      Re: Survivor Series 2009

Not a bad show at all IMO. I thought Kofi vs. Punk was excellent. Those two have very good chemistry against one another. Orton is going to be livid tomorrow and yell at Ted for getting eliminated first and hit him or something and Ted is going to turn face.

I don't really get putting over Kofi like that though. Why? So he can get a shot at Cena and lose? No way they put him over Cena. Ever.

      Some TLC predictions:

Undertaker vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship (tables match)

John Cena vs. Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship (ladder match)

Christian vs. Yoshi Tatsu for the ECW Championship (TLC match)

      Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H

      Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase

I would love to see CM Punk get another title shot, but he would just be too good for Taker to work with in one of those specialty matches. I really want Christian to drop the belt to Yoshi so he can move to Smackdown already, just in time for Edge to come back so they can feud with Jerishow. Also, I put Kofi in there because I really don't see anyone else on Raw that would be good for a specialty match against Cena, especially when I think DX will be feuding with each other. We'll see...

That backstage segment with Team Kofi was priceless.

I love what they're doing with Kofi, but I hope they don't go too fast with it. IMO, he needs to get his shot either from winning the Rumble or Money in the Bank. Besides, I want to see him and Orton have at least one actual 1-on-1 match before Orton moves on to feuding with DiBiase.

Kofi's push reminds me alot of Jeff Hardy's Raw push a few years ago when he was feuding with Randy Orton for the WWE title and almost pulled off the big win a few times. Hardy ended up never winning the title and dropping back down to the midcard, but then later that year, he was champ on SD. So regardless of how this finishes, I think at this point Kofi has gotten enough rub off of Orton that it will help in the long term.

And to the person who said Kofi's just going to end up jobbing to Cena...well what do you want then? Never push anyone and constantly have Cena vs. HHH/Orton/HBK/Jericho/Show? You can only recycle those matches so much. Plus, Kofi still needs a little time before taking the title off of Cena. But, I think Cena vs. Kofi in a ladder match at TLC would do wonders for Kofi. Agile underdogs tend to always look great in those matches...granted I'm not expecting that match to happen.

Everyone was ripping on Cena burying Miz a few months back. But those burials did alot for Miz. Miz's promos and matches against Cena got him attention from the fans. He was one of the most over heels on last night's show. Plus, it gave him a storyline as the losing streak made him refocus and gain a mean streak(Gabe? Is that you?). Now he's US Champ, with his own team at Survivor Series, getting decent heat, and constantly beating the apparent "HBK of Miz n Morrison."

Overall, I enjoyed the PPV. Nothing was really great, but nothing was bad either. Just a solid night of action.

I can't stand Miz, but I hope he gets a stable run with Sheamus and Drew.

That'd be awesome if Miz were British. They could get a "United Kingdom" stable or something.

                      Re: Survivor Series 2009

That was my favourite PPV of the year so far.

The opening match was a reasonable starter though predictable. Also, Morrison didn't show enough in the match if I'm honest. It was the right result though even though you could see it coming a mile off. 5/10

Team Kofi vs Team Randy was excellent. Not quite enough Mark Henry, but it made sense the way the match went, and come to think of it I think I heard that the big man was carrying a bit of an injury. Christian was great in this one, he took a lot of punishment and then got a lot of offence in. Hitting Orton with the Killswitch/Unprettier was a highlight for me.

Very disappointed that Ted got eliminated so easily. I thought he would have been there at least longer than Cody. R-Truth hardly got into the match really, which was also a bit of a let down. The last part with Punk, Kofi and Orton was very good. I don't see how it makes Randy look weak. He was beaten to the punch (or kick) by Kofi, which was a pleasant surprise instead of most people expecting him to run in and RKO Kingston. 8/10

Batista vs Rey served more than it's purpose - I expected Rey to get battered with his upcoming surgery, and I'd forgotten just how convincing and menacing Big Dave can be as a heel. Good job from both men - it was short and sweet. 5.5/10

I really enjoyed the World Heavyweight Title match. It was a lot better than expected, and I'm happy to see Jericho getting in his fair share of offence. I was worried he'd get lost in the match because of the two big guys. A decent ending but unfortunately you could see it coming a mile off. It's a shame Big Show didn't KO Taker while he was going for the submission. Now that would have been an ending. 7.5/10

The Divas match was OK, it did what it needed to. It could have been a bit longer, but as a stop-gap it was decent. Beth Phoenix was great again, and she's definitely the star Diva in the WWE at the moment. Get that title (one of them at least) on her! 4/10

So to the main event. I was sort of looking forward to it, but not a lot. However Michaels booting HHH in the face started it off brilliantly. The look on Cena's face was priceless too. I really enjoyed this one. The spinebuster through the table looked impactful, I enjoyed the commentators having to manoeuvre their way round the wreckage and still call the match (good job from them), the interplay between all three men, the storytelling and the general pace of the match was very good. Plus, for once, the finish wasn't predictable. I wanted Shawn to win the belt so badly, but Cena's win was in good style, and plus it prevents yet another title change. 8.5/10

All in all, I can't wait for the 3 hour Raw tonight.
