Huge News! Ava appeared and said that after discussing things with Santino, a special event will take place to settle it it all. For the first time since 2001, Invasion returns for a special TNA vs NXT event on Tuesday October 7th. There will be two Survivor Series style matches for the Men & Women, NXT vs TNA. Also, Trick vs Oba once again with everyone barred from ringside, there must be a winner.

Sad how my first thought was "Did Dynamite get moved to Tuesday this week?"

Weird choice to do the story where this match happens so soon after, and just on a tv episode too. No sort of Impact matches happening or a PLE?

Then again, we all might remember how the original Invasion PPV ended (right after we saw that Raw with "The old stone cold" return to destroy everyone, Austin turned on WWF and joined the alliance), so perhaps they'll use this show to kick start the feud? Some top name from NXT turns on NXT and joins TNA?

I like Ricky and I think he has good gimmick presentation music etc but I'm not sure that's how I'd have taken the belt off Oba.

Either way nice show tonight. Lotta stuff happened. Let's see who the secret chick who helped Jacy is. Maybe it was Jimmy Uso. Maybe an Evolve chick? (Kendal lawd please). Maybe Nyx isn't actually gone (lawd please). Maybe Fallon came back out suited up.

Let's see if Mariah and Jordynne are done. They probably are and hell of a match but the hair was cut so I dunno.

Ricky beating Oba makes sense if Oba is going to the main roster. A bit late for the gimmick but I would've loved Apollo doing his Nigerian prince gimmick and Oba is his right hand man who one day usurps the prince.

Based on reactions, Jacy seems to have no idea who helped, but she'll take it.

I could see whoever helped her win just being someone who will then go after her.

I almost wish Seth didn't have Bron and Bron and that he debuted Oba as his muscle. Imagine Seth or Heyman talking and then Oba's music/lights hit. Mannnnnnn.

I could also see them doing something like Punk or someone like Jey or LA or whoever brings Oba in to combat the Brons.

If they could build an Oba-Bron feud into one that starts off as those two being the future of the company and it evolves over time as they go further in their careers, it would be a cool arc to have.

A couple of LFG matches ahead of the show too. I wonder if it was actually for the show or just dark matches. I kinda hope they weren't for the show because of spoilers lol.

Seems odd for it to be finals though if last time their finals were at MSG and this time the finals are at some "bingo hall" in Houston lol

IIRC, they announced on LFG this week that next week they're in Texas, so I'm starting to think you saw the finals taping.

What were the matches? We're down to the final 4 now so I wouldn't be surprised if those 4 are the ones from the matches you saw.

I get how calling it Invasion on October 7th is bad for Israel, but it's not something anyone else would really think of.

Don't get why they can't just rename it for Israel?

They literally have a show called Elimination Chamber, which obviously makes some in Germany uncomfortable which is why in Germany they rename the event No Escape (or was it No Way Out).

At that point if you were renaming it, might as well bring back Bragging Rights.
