This would have worked so much better as a PLE the Sunday after Survivor Series or the same day as Survivor Series. I mean they are doing Survivor Series style elimination matches anyway, so if the date was an issue just move it to the Tuesday before Survivor Series or weekend of.

This seems so sudden and rushed, there's no way this is the culmination of the feud?
Don't forget, the Invasion PPV happened just a month after Booker T debuted at KOTR, yet the story lasted 5 months.
I definitely see something happening like Trick costing NXT the match and helping TNA.Comment

My only hope is that this winds up like the Invasion PPV.

Eh, over the invasion stuff already.
I'm happy Jacy said it's dumb Kelani is representing TNA.
Hopefully it all leads somewhere and isn't just like other cross-promotion cross-brand "competition" ****.
I'd happily just go back to the regularly scheduled programming. They do a great job without needing gimmicks like this.Comment

Is TNA moving to the CW at some point? It occurred to me last night that maybe they're putting so much focus on the partnership as a way to get people used to seeing these wrestlers. Or maybe NXT does decent ratings and the CW is just letting WWE do whatever they want with their show.
I don't know, it was just a random thought.Comment

The Men's match is ok, but they totally gave the Women's Match the full on 2001 Survivor Series treatment lol.
Team TNA
- Kelani Jordan (WWE Contracted Talent)
- The Inspiration, FKA The IIconics (Former WWE Talent)
- Mara Sade, FKA NXT Talent Jakara Jackson. (Former WWE Talent)
There's not a single thing about Team TNA that says TNA Knockouts Division.Comment

But we get the Inspiration in WWE again! I hope that leads them to a path back to WWE. Seeing those two being led by Chelsea Green would be so good.
But if anything's giving me Invasion vibes it's Trick as TNA champ on team NXT. That just seems TOO obvious that he's gonna turn on them.
But it's funny seeing HBK come out at the end, he's one of the guys who missed the entire Invasion (along with HHH), but he was actually supposed to return at some point in 2001 but due to his personal issues WWE sent him home and we didn't see or hear from him again until he cleaned himself up. I wonder what role he would have played in all this. Maybe he's the commissioner over Regal?Last edited by Majingir; 10-01-2025, 08:43 PM.Comment

TNA has a women's roster but for there to be hype going into the match you need people who either have their own name recognition just from word of mouth or are already familiar to NXT and aside from Indi Hartwell and Rosemary the team they put together is probably the best they could do.
Like if they revealed the teams and TNA had Tasha Steelz and Dani Luna, how many people would care? I mean I know them because I watch wrestling, but you know what I'm saying.Comment
