    Re: WWE: NXT Thread

There's no way to properly prep for that type of life.

I'll put it this way. I was USMC infantry. The military did all it could (within reason) to prepare people for deployments - yet look how it effects a ton of those that come back. Some could live like that (deployment lifestyle) 24/7 while others, who have the same preparation, can be over there for a month and be horribly scarred even though they have done the same training and have seen the same things over wherever they were. I'm going to generalize this statement a bit, and I will concede that there will always be outliers, but teenagers and those in their very early 20s are normally not mature enough to handle life on the road and everything that comes with it - especially famous people at those ages. As we age, our experiences shift our focus and priorities. I'd love to say I haven't changed, but (current) 25-year old me hates college me. At least, hates the way I looked at everything then.

I will agree that skill-wise, there's no question in my mind she's ready. She comes from a wrestling family and has been wrestling since the age of 14 at shows.

I would guess she's used to it. Both her parents being wrestlers she had to have been dealing with it already. On one hand being the NXT champ is fine on the other I want her to break Moolah's record so she'd have to start now.

Right, I wouldn't doubt it if she grew up around that type of schedule... but working shows 1-3 times a month in different places is a ton different than being on the road 250-300 days a year. It's quite possible she can handle it, but this is one part I actually agree with the policy the WWE has in place.

I agree completely. I thought I was mature when I went to Uni in '07 but I was so naïve, complacent and stupid. Now I'm going back in September and have a completely different attitude at the age of 24.

We'll see what happens with Paige but I'm sure she'll be a huge success regardless

I have a feeling Rusev will debut on TV by squashing Khali.

He looked pretty good against Dolph - he's improved quite a bit from when I last saw him.

The 2 out of 3 falls match was good - and that finish! Wow.

So Alex Riley, whose promo's I couldn't stand because of his voice alone, turns out to be a great announcer. WHO KNEW?

Also, Rusev kinda reminds me of Koslov. Good thing Trips isn't around to break him.
That's not an insult, THAT is just a fact of life.

                    I miss Kozlov.

I remember him pinning Undertaker clean on SD, looking like a wrecking machine and then never winning the title. Shame really.

Although I'm glad he won the tag titles before he was released.

So I just watch the Sami Zayn/Cesaro feud in its entirety...amazing.

How awesome would it be if Zayn just randomly appeared on Raw to reignite the feud? Like a sneak attack out of nowhere.

Also, I haven't watched in a while, and I've notice Bo Dallas's character has completely evolved from where he was when he won the NXT title.

I hope Breeze and Parker are good wrestlers (haven't seen much NXT but I've checked out the last few weeks), because their characters are ridiculous. What do they think Parker's gonna be, the next Dude Love?

Parker would work if he toned his gimmick down a bit - it's too spaced out at the moment. He has a cool finisher though - think Christian's reverse DDT except he does it from a front face lock and drops them on their front.

Breeze (Mike Dalton if anyone didn't realise) is good in the ring - beat Leo Kruger 18 months or so ago for the FCW Championship.

He needs to tone down the self-shot taking but apart from that his gimmick is ok - just needs fleshing out a bit.

...You talk bad about Tyler "HULLLOOOO" Breeze..you sicken me. :P I like the character just for the over the top nature that he has, basically, he's a teenage girl in a man's body.

Or Derek Zoolander in a wrestler's body.

Tyler Breeze's entrance is in the fave five from day one.

Also Summer Rae was the star of this week's episode.

I also can't express how much I love how they're milking the Bo Dallas loathsome anger now as he's become a delusional heel who thinks people love him. I think once he loses the belt, it won't have the same effects but it's so awesome for now. Also, calling Sami "green" was just the best.
