Re: wcw
Add to it World Class Championship Wrestling. I watched that along side WWF in the 80's and then WCW in the 90's. I consider myself a casual fan, but nothing compares now. Of course, I'm so distant from it I haven't checked it out in a while. Maybe I should.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: wcw
I had stopped watching wrestling for a little while when I was young. I knew very little about Hogan in WCW in so forth. When I was in 10th grade, my brother and I started watching again and we began to tune into WCW. What we saw was Hogan and the NWO, the four hourseman, Sting in the rafters...It was wrestling awesomeness. We would keep an eye on WWE with the Hart Foundations and such, but it was all about Monday Nitro. WCW had such a good thing going. To me, it is still my favorite Wrestling period up until the NWO split up into like 8 factions.Comment

Re: wcw
I really believe there was a group of wrestling fans that just went away after WCW died and I don't think WWE really gained any fans strictly because they got WCW. This would of allowed WWE to keep their fans and the WCW fans that were left anyway. WCW was such a trainwreck by the end but they had enough talented guys that the brand could've been salvaged.Comment

Re: wcw
It will never happen. WCW is dead, forever. Vince would never bring it back. And the stars of WCW are way past their prime, and shouldn't even try to wrestle anymore.

Re: wcw
Ahh, what the heck..I'l do a "They should..."
They should have some up and comer in the back room going through old WCW tapes and then act all curious and get inspired. He could get caught up in it and then go running to Vince asking questions..."I want to know what happened to WCW..." Along the way, various wrestlers could join in, getting convinced that "the truth" gets exposed...
And then..and then...lol...You could have a few of the veteran WCW guys make an appearance and start "exposing" things, calling Vince out. A huge separation would occur and Raw vs Smackdown would be gone (WWE vs WCW would be much better anyway).Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: wcw
At least regarding WCW, once Goldberg was "defeated" by Scott Hall in the tazor match...it was pretty much the downfall IMO.
On a related note, if anybody ever played WCW Mayhem for the PS1 --> awesome game.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: wcw
Well, next year's Wrestlemania is in Atlanta, so it isn't out of the realm of possibility that something along the lines of a WCW-inspired angle takes place.
Goldberg has said he'd be willing to get back in the ring and I think with the location, WWE could finally convince Sting to join up for a short-term run, punctuated with a HOF induction.
Wasn't Mayhem made by EA? I never checked that game out. Was it similar to the Def Jam games? I remember Thunder and Nitro being pretty bad on the PS1 but the N64 games were pretty fun, especially multiplayer.Currently Playing:
