    Nexus V2

With Punk as the Nexus leader what are your predicitions for the future of the wwe? In my opinion I say that CM Punk goes on to the Royal Rumble and wins because Nexus leads the way for him. I think they will split up via the draft though, that would be sad though as this is to interesting.

Wrong forum. Try the WWE Sub-forum. This is for Smackdown vs Raw. The video game. Take care.

Actually this is for general wrestling and feds that don't have forums like ROH,CZW,Dragon Gate, stuff from Japan and general discussion for those that do like to discuss the games or past wrestlers.

        Moved it.

Would be great if Punk won the Rumble, Cena won the Elimination Chamber, and Punk took the belt off Cena at Wrestlemania. I'm really scared it's going to be the other way around though.

I just hope that John Cena has to make a movie soon or something so he can break his shoulder or anything.

Unless the wrestler is R-Truth.... in fact it's even in the TOS somewhere.

By the way, for all my Nexus fans, WWE Shop has a hell of a sale going on right now. The original (and best, IMO) Nexus T-Shirts are on sale for 6.99. Use the promo code BUSTED for free shipping and 20% off. My order came to 6.01 a shirt after taxes.

I'm going to go to Buffalo Wild Wings with a big group to watch the Royal Rumble and have convinced everyone to rock Nexus T-shirts. Yes, I am a nerd.

I already own that shirt (of course) but I went ahead and ordered 5 more of them just now because I am pretty sure that once they sell out they will be gone for good.

I ordered the matching hoodie over a month ago and still haven't received it though. It still says that it is backordered.

I meant like a scripted injury, so he could leave TV to film his movie like they did when he made 12 rounds and The Marine. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I kinda do like John Cena's movies by the way so thats another reason.

I think that leading into the rumble & EC will probably tell where this storyline will go. WWE creative hasn't really been sticking to there storylines all that great. Lawler & Cole aren't fighting with each other anymore and they can't seem to figure out a way to spin the GM story so that we can find out who it is.

I love that Punk is now in charge of Nexus. It opens up a lot of things from a storyline perspective.

I'd like to see Punk win the WWE Title and have a LONG reign; I'm talking like holding the belt for most of 2011. Give him feuds with Cena, Orton, Taker (if he's still around), Edge and maybe even a guy that gets kicked out of the new Nexus.

I hope that some of the SES gimmick blends into the Nexus, too. Punk's promos when he's discussing Straight Edge are so awesome.

I'm holding off and am in wait and see mode right now. I don't like how it was executed on Raw, I thought it was pretty lame. I actually would've liked the idea of Nexus on SD for a few months, but it is what it is.

The big thing to me is that I fail to see why Punk needs Nexus. I mean, think about it. These guys have basically been owned by Cena for the past few months, outside of Barrett. I think the basis for Punk's displeasure w/ Cena doesn't really need Nexus to execute it, particularly a Barrett-free Nexus. I'm not a huge Barrett fan, but he WAS the Nexus. Take him away and it's just a bunch of stooges. Why would Punk want to lead these guys after they already got owned in every way possible by Cena already?

Definitely with you on the "wait and see," but IMO it's not about Punk needing Nexus it's Nexus needing Punk. Like you said, Barrett is (right now, at least) the only member who can carry himself. For the Nexus angle to have any viability after the way Cena manhandled them recently, they need a strong presence out front. If they went to Smackdown as is, it would just be a rehash without a presence like Punk.

Punk's a perfect fit. He can draw a lot of heat on his own with more than just beat downs. It keeps Nexus relevant without having to push any of the members beyond their status as followers. I actually hope they twist it more to his straight edge aspect which would maybe open up some doors for guys turning face or starting new types of feuds (with each other, Barrett, etc.).

Don't get me wrong, I know WWE doesn't have to work hard to piss this away...but I do think the pairing makes sense. IMO, it's the best move they made with the Nexus since their formation/introduction.
