My point wasn't that you wanted a cash-in, it's that what you (and I think everyone else) assumed was happening at Summerslam now isn't a possibility, and maybe not knowing exactly what's going to happen before it happens isn't how you want to watch the PPV.

But yeah, doing the cash-in tonight was a different, more interesting, unexpected end to Smackdown tonight, and it also opens things up a little bit for Sunday. Not a bad thing for me as a viewer in either situation.

Damn, they jumped off the Corbin train quick. I feel like if you are trying to build up Corbin it makes more sense to have him hang on to the briefcase for longer than just a couple months. But WWE will often to things just to spite what people predict.

Omg, I can't believe it. For Corbin to lose a cash-in like that is complete bunkers! I'm not a fan of his but it makes me wonder if the WWE are regretting this decision or if it was the plan all along. That was brutal though. Cena and Mahal's style does not clash well either but that test of strength stuff was refreshing to see.

It's like I forget Natalya is feuding with Naomi. They have zero interactions with each other. Poor Becky had to take a clean loss to Natalya. Orton/Rusev have barely interacted with each other except attack one another from behind. The only things I liked were the Usos beating Kingston and Xavier Woods (with Daniel Bryan still wanting to be Usos' rap partner) and the US Title Match build.

Wouldn't Cena want Corbin to be champ so he can have a title match against him?

Too much logic there. He's rather just laugh at Corbin and continue this whatever feud.

Same logic used with Jericho/Owens for WM. Why would Jericho cost Owens the title when he could've faced Owens at WM for the title....

In theory, but why would Cena vs Corbin automatically have become a title match when Nakamura is due one at SummerSlam as #1 Contender? Would he still get that match? Or would Jinder have been due a rematch?

Would they do a WrestleMania 10 Bret/Luger scenario to resolve it?

Or a second Fatal Four Way on the card to make it simpler. Damn. I would have enjoyed that...

It'd probably be good. Maybe at the next SD PPV If they keep these four interacting with each other.

Fatal 8 way ... finisher, guy rolls out of the ring, finisher, guy rolls out of the ring, finisher, guy rolls out of the ring, finisher, guy rolls out of the ring, finisher, guy rolls out of the ring, etc etc.

I just saw this week's Smackdown, I liked the failed cash in, having the MITB briefcase is too automatic IMO. Besides, if Corbin beats Cena Sunday, sadly that will do more for him than winning the WWE title

Yeah even I'm out of good things to say about this week's Smackdown. Not many memorable things happened. I continue to wonder how long Jinder is getting to hold the WWE Title for. Also, Naomi and Natalya seem to only get backstage segments for their feud. No sight of Becky nor Charlotte (but her case is understandable). The match between the two former GFW guys Roode/Mike Kanellis was one-sided in favor of Roode. Kanellis is practically a jobber. The Ascension are the #1 jobber tag team so they jobbed to Gable and Benjamin. Tamina squashed a jobber. It was jobber city. Orton had to RKO Shinsuke out of nowhere post-match but of course it's for their match next week. Sad state for Smackdown right now.

The RKO spot at the end was awesome. But everything else was just kinda, eh.

I think Shelton should've came out to his old music at least for his return. Then use music with Gable as a team.

Can't believe Mike Bennett was brought in just to be a jobber. I'd want Bennett over Roode any day.

Well that gimmick is utter trash so it's not surprising it's where he's at right now.

I feel like it's only trash because he keeps losing. If he was winning matches consistently, that gimmick would be prime annoying heel material. WWE just doesn't want to do that tho. They think having the commentators mock the guy and laugh when he loses is a good idea. Who knows if that was the idea from the start, or if they just gave up on it quickly.
