RAW 2 - Dev Team Fired?

So some Japanese BBSes have supposedly been talking about a big firing at Anchor Inc -- supposedly the bulk of the raw 2 team was let go as soon as the game was approved by Microsoft. Kind of makes you wonder what THQ is thinking right now about the future of the RAW brand?

The complete lack of information from THQ on this game is what's scaring me. The game is supposed to come out next week and you don't here anything about it. I hope that doesn't mean that it sucks and they don't want reviewers getting to it first.

It has already been hinted at by THQ through rumors that after this year the only product that they will concentrate on will be the Smackdown version. That would then be released on all consoles instead of one version for each that is completely different. Considering Smackdown is the most successful it would make the most sense that since Raw 2 is ready for release now that the development team would be let go.

I've never been a big fan of the Smackdown games. Doesn't the GC games have an engine similar to the N64 games? If so then they should release the Wresltemania games on all the consoles. N64 wrestling games were the best. Personally on PSX I even thought the game play of Attitude was better than Smackdown.

Smackdown and Wrestlemania are made by the same company. The reason why the old N64 games were so good were because they were done by AKI, who always made sure their games kicked A**. I know because I used to work for THQ as a tester.
