Just so you know, they did a whole movie like thing for the lead up to WM19. They followed SCSA, The Rock, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, I think Booker T and Shawn Michaels.
It's actually very good and if you have the DVD of WM19, I think it's in the extra's.
As for this WM, let me take a shot on XXVIII
Kane vs Blandy
I could not tell you who has the upper hand here and for all intents and purposes, this match seems like it was thrown together just for the hell of it. I'll go with Blandy just because it'll make the little kids happy, but I'd like for Kane to win and develop his character a little more.
Team TeddyJohnny vs Team Teddy
Honestly, I do not see anyway Team Teddy wins this match. The inclusion of such likable characters like Santino and Booker T makes me even more certain. I think they'll try to give a big push to the Miz, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Dolph given a big push here either. The end of the HOLLA HOLLA HOLLA era.
Divas bull****: Who cares, at least it doesn't involve men or Snickerdoodle.
Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus
It's really too bad that Sheamus has almost become an afterthought with this build up. I really think that Bryan vs Sheamus could be a great feud if this were on RAW, but instead it's just...kinda there. I love Bryan's character, but I think Smackdown! is going to move in another direction. Sheamus comes out the winner in this match, this is my dark horse for MOTN for me.
Rhodes vs Show
I have a bad feeling about this match. Not that it will suck, because I think Rhodes and Show could have a good match together, but I have a feeling this will be a lifetime achievement match for Show. Which is too bad, because Rhodes has been awesome for about 2 years now. I think it would be better for business if Rhodes won, and would be slightly disappointed if Show did win. That being said, I think Show gets the win just so he doesn't have to look at WM and think of it as a total loss for him. Plus, he did Akibono, so he does deserve one WM moment.
Punk vs Jericho
This is the frontrunner for match of the night and almost assuredly will deliver. I hope Jericho doesn't have ring rust, but I'm sure that even if he does have a little, Punk can help shake that fast. The one thing that both of these competitors can do really well is work over and gain a reaction from the crowd. It's kind of ironic because this reminds me of Punk's match LAST year, only Punk's family is getting attacked verbally instead of the family getting attacked physically. This will be brutal at times and excellently worked. Punk should come out the winner, but if Jericho is willing to stick around, then I would not complain about putting the belt on him. Plus, I think Punk is destined for Smackdown at the draft.
HHH vs Taker
I have a feeling this match will deliver on the hype, but it better not turn into the spot fest/rip off ANOTHER HBK match that HHH wanted. I want blood but realize that my wants will probably go unfulfilled in this match. I hope Taker not working for a year doesn't kill him too much and I can foresee a lot of laying around in this match. If HHH wins, I'll be incredibly pissed for a lot of reasons.
Cena vs Rock
Hopefully they do put a filler between HHH-Taker and this match. While I don't think the crowd will get too emotionally drained from that match not to give a reaction, it would be sad to hear crickets during this match. Cena usually can deliver some good WM matches and The Rock certainly looks in shape. But this isn't about work rate or anything, this is about character vs character. Almost, IMO, no way that Cena DOESN'T win this match, for the simple fact that they have given an out for the Rock, but not for Cena. Cena has built this up to be that if he loses, his career sucks, but if the Rock loses, everything will go on fine and dandy. Outside interference should be expected, IMO, and probably be welcomed, especially if it is the Miz, just for continuity reasons. In the end, I think Cena wins no matter what, but I cannot see this storyline dying away just with one match.
