Why can't SvR be more accurate?

The game releases in november yet it seems like anything that happens after april makes the game outdated before it's even released.

Look at things like NBA,NHL video games. Those games release september-october yet anything that happens up to early august is included in the game.

Don't see how it's impossible for them to make the game more accurate in terms of when it gets released. If it wasn't for NXT, we wouldn't have even had Barrett and few other nexus guys in the game even though nexus debuted 5 months before the game came out.

What'll be even worse is the arenas. Some ppvs that have new names already(such as no more fatal 4 way, bragging rights) will be in the next game.

Well in other sports they don't have to make individual player models. Far as the PPV names, they can re-name it but they're not going to know what the set looks like so they can't build the arena model for it. Though there's not really any excuse for not having proper champions and heel/face alignments set when those happend 3 months ago.

I was thinking about this the other day, and I think the better time for SVR (or WWE now) to release and have the most accurate rosters for the longest period would be either a) Right before/after WM each year or b) A few weeks after the draft each year.

In any case, I cannot for the life of me understand why this game doesn't have live updates for things like outfits, attires, etc. I know that getting characters in can be hard after the game releases (ex Bryan and ADR in SVR 11) but the effort should at least be made to have up to date attires for each character in the game after it ships.

But yeah, releasing WWE before or after WM would likely add longevity to the roster, and might actually increase sales as a bonus.

And miss out on all the money from the parents of the Lil Jimmy's that want it for X-mas? (Which will probably end up the majority this year with that release date.) Though it also doesn't help that they release it just around future endeavor time.

Last year they said something about new outfits having to be new models.

^Which makes no sens considering that svr seems like the only game series where this happens(in terms of all the yearly "sports" games).

What happened to the old wrestling games where you could edit diff attires for guys.

Don't see how THQ isn't able to make the attires like wm2000 where you could change almost everything about a superstar(you could do everything from unmasking kane to making someone bald ect.)

If this is how things are gonna be like, I wish someone like EA Sports or something bought the rights to wwe video games

You do realize that everyone had one of a few generic body types in that game right? Much easier to change outfits when it comes down to just swapping out pieces. If you want lego-esque models again, than I don't know what to tell you.

I think the SvR games have sucked since 2008, but in all fairness to THQ, if they had to change things as much as WWE does, the game would never come out.

yeah, they mentioned they are limited with attires bc of the space they take up. it would be great if they just were able to patch the old attires with new ones every now and then..

Good point. I guess there really is no perfect time to release it and have things totally up to date, but if they wanted to be close then releasing it around WM/draft time would be best. As far as Christmas, a WWE All Stars series could take that spot on the calendar.

They mess with the basics too much which means everything else misses out
