55 is spot-on with the choices on SD.

Cody is my number one choice, only because it fits his gimmick so well. Imagine every single title match, Cody watches from the shadows (with his whole phantom of the opera schtick) clutching his briefcase, staring a hole through the competitors. After a while he becomes obsessed with Randy Orton... the poster child for what he once was, his former mentor. Slowly, Cody becomes obsessed with ruining him, his good looks, humiliating him, and taking his title.
    That would be ****ing AMAZING.

Second is Barrett, mainly because I am really high on him. He foreshadowed a possible win on SD stating "I've forgotten the two of you (Corre) exist. Just like I've already forgotten about the Intercontinental championship. I have much bigger plans". Barrett has proven he can carry the flagship show as its top heel last summer. He's great on the mic and in ring, especially for a big and is really comfortable with his gimmick and his style. Barrett is the complete package and a MITB win would give him the push he needs, to move into Smackdown's upper echelon of heels inhabited by Christain, Sheamus.... and.... Mark Henry. The main event needs you Wade!

Third would be Christain. Since he "can't beat Orton", it'd be great to have him win MITB and hold it over Orton's head for awhile threatening to take back his title at anytime. Then he cashes in after Orton is brutally decimated to win his belt back, proving he can "beat Orton". It gets Christian over huge as a heel because he brags that he beat Orton as if he did it clean. During the final rematch, Christian gets DQed and does not give Orton anymore shots. He says that they've fought a million times and Randy is just looking pathetic now (the tables are now turned with Christian as champ). Back of the line for you! This of course infuriates Orton, so he just tears through people at the back of the line, working his way up the ladder, until he meets up with Christian again way down the road.

The problem with all of my write-ups are I usually think up long term angles that build slowly (like my idea for Cena's slow heel turn during Nexus). Even the good angles are never as great as I imagine they'll play out in my head, lol. So I'll just sit back and watch as it'll be interesting to see what happens.

I'll think about Raw and do it later.
I don't necessarily agree with these, as far as what would work, but you, my friend, have a great mind for wrestling. You really get it. Those are how angles work. I enjoyed this very much.

Thanks a lot Bacon and Matrix!
Riley, Miz, Swags, Truth, ADR, Bourne, Rey, Kofi
For Raw, I have no desire to see Bourne, Rey, or Kofi win. They are there simply to hit some awesome spots.

Truth shouldn't win because he is a wrestler who works better without power or privilege. As a man who is constantly getting screwed and is a victim of conspiracy, he'll be infinitely better NOT winning. Slymm and I were talking and he had a great idea to add fuel to the conspiracy. Truth should be the sole guy on the ladder and reach for the case, when all of a sudden it raises up just a hair. This would add a little legitimacy to his claims. In my own twist I'd have it turn out to be Morrison who screwed him, basically getting his revenge on Truth by making him crazy (MITB would be just the start).

Riley is awesome, but he's not ready yet. The case could do for him, what it did for Miz, but he's got a lot of fresh midcard feuds ahead of him before he's ready.

So, in order, of the guys remaining, I like Del Rio, The Miz, and Swagger.

For Del Rio, I'd love to see him be the first guy to cash-in and lose. After going on and on about destiny, he comes up short... just like at Wrestlemania. Just like how athletes have stigmas about choking (LeBron), not being able to get a ring (Dirk before this year), or not making it out of the first round (T-Mac), Del Rio can get the stigma of winning big grueling matches like the Rumble/MITB but always coming up short when its time to cash-in. This can change him, make him darker. Bring him back to his roots, like when he used to take people out weekly on Smackdown. After buckling down and getting a bit more of mean streak he can finally win the big one down the road.

Second is the Miz. He was so damn good with the case last year it seems natural for him to have it again. 55 went into great detail about the pro's of the Miz, so there's no need to go over it again.

Finally, a distant third is Swagger. He could cash in on Punk if Punk wins at MITB and turn face (though I doubt anyone will boo Punk and cheer Swagger in Chicago), he could also just use it to regain all of the momentum he's lost since last winning the case. Swagger desperately needs a push, but the main event scene doesn't need Swagger like Smackdown needs a guy like Wade. So I doubt he wins. It's Miz or ADR here, and rightfully so.

Also, as an addendum to my Cody Rhodes idea, if he wins, he should always have a referee with him at all times (along with his baggers). In the back, when watching every title match, etc. Just in case he decides to cash-in he should have a referee as a part of his stable. He could summon him like he does his baggers... "Referee!! Stand here in case I decide to end the reign of Randy Orton tonight".

The personal referee idea would also work for Del Rio if he wins on Raw, but it'd play more into his aristocrat gimmick. I still like it for Cody more though.
