I believe he did that last week.
A bunch of wrestling and Vince getting fired. Good show.
I was sure Miz would win,ADR cash-in,attack the knee and Miz would end up face.
The only one of the divas I was paying attention to was AJ.Comment

Damn good show. Marked out for HHH returning, would have loved if HHH turned around and still fired Cena.
The booking of Raw has been on fire the past few weeks.Comment

Absolutely loved the ending. They are on fire right now. Where the hell has this writing been?
I don't think that will be the last we see of Vince though. Can't wait to see how this is gonna play out with Triple H. I hope he sorta takes the GM role and we get to see him often.
I also think its pretty safe to say Punk has re-signed. They would never in a million years let him walk with the title and parade it trhough Chicago if they didn't have some sort of deal with him.Last edited by PVarck31; 07-18-2011, 11:22 PM.Comment

I guess this means HHH's in-ring career is done? Shame.Comment

I have thought Vince has looked ill for some time and I thought with his emotion in the ring, maybe this was a way to write him off tv.
I may be totally off on him being ill, but thought his emotion and HHH's did the angle well. Two of the best.Last edited by johnnywobbles; 07-19-2011, 12:04 AM.Comment

Re: Raw 7/18/11 - Won't be under 3.0 this week...
I didn't enjoy the tourney beyond the first round. Not because of the matches themselves, but because once you see who wins one, you know who his opponent will be. The strictly formatted "Heel vs Face" setup needs some changes IMO.
I think they are afraid of what will happen when they do a heel vs heel or face vs face matchup these days (which is ironic in a way, since the old SS footage they showed was a great matchup between two faces). So it was kind of the same old, same old for me there.
Fantastic job by Vince throughout though IMO. He did a great job opening as the businessman who just wants to move on from an embarrassment and I love how he sold the whole situation. The finish was great too, and the emotion shown by all involved was handled very well. My only gripe with that angle is IMO it came too soon.
I would have preferred if Vince fired Cena and went on with the same format that has garnered weaker ratings for at least a week or two. THEN work this "relieved of your duties" stuff and use it as a way to justify bringing Cena back and eventually announcing the rehiring of Punk, etc. I guess the fear of people actually believing Cena is done was probably (and maybe understandably) too scary for WWE.
Regardless of the timeline though, like others, I'm happy with being left with more questions than answers. What's great about publicly "passing the torch" to HHH, is it allows them to overtly change up programming (hopefully to include the elimination of a certain beeping laptop) and act as though it's really a changing of the guard. I'm looking forward to what they do with all this.
And THANK YOU for not having Punk on Raw. I think everyone speculating over his twitter pics tonight shows that they don't need him live right away to keep the angle going, and that interest can be kept through social media, etc to further that aspect.Comment

Im glad CM Punk wasnt on tv if he really was unemployed he would have never been let in to the building. It would have made no sense for him to come out at the top of the show and cut a promo on Vince again. CM Punk got what he wanted Sunday night in Chicago. The WWE is going to have to throw a black check book at CM Punk for him to come back with the title. The tournament was fine for what it was and i wasn't surprised by the two finalists. With HHH "taking over" i hope it means a restart of sorts for both shows. New main eventers and pushes would be great to see. They didn't hit a home run and thats fine you cant show off everything in one night.MLB: Chicago Cubs

Re: Raw 7/18/11 - Won't be under 3.0 this week...
Can someone tell me where Raw cut off?
This guy helped start the "thank you Vince" chant.
This raw was sick.
As much as I love CM, I kinda glad he wasn't there.
The building blew up for Trips.
Lastly did anyone see a "Woo Woo Woo You Know It"/"CM Punk Is God" sign on the left side corner of the titontron? It was neon yellow with black letters.
And me and the 3 other guys I went with started as many "CM Punk" chants as possible, and the "what" chants in Vince's opening promoLast edited by BDKiiing; 07-19-2011, 01:32 AM.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams
