Cena gets canned tonight and takes time off. The speculation builds for the main event at Wrestlemania. He and the The Rock continue to use social media to build their feud taking shots at each other as Cena rests and recovers.

Meanwhile, Vince comes out with Del Rio and says they are cashing-in his MITB contract for a match at Summerslam. Del Rio can't sneak attack him and win as Punk isn't a part of the company and won't get involved in exhausting matches or beatdowns anytime soon, but Del Rio still has an iron-clad contract that gives him a shot at the title anytime he wishes.

Vince claims that the contract is iron-clad and Punk has thee options: come to Summer Slam and hand Del Rio the title, defend the belt in a match at Summer Slam, or lawyer up and get ready to go to war as Vince will sue Punk if he does not agree to options one or two. Punk teases not defending the belt telling Vince to go screw himself. However, a fired up Del Rio snatches Vince's mic, shoves him and says he has something to say... he goes on to blast Punk for claiming to be the best WRESTLER in the world while hiding with the title. He then says whether this ends in the ring or the courtroom you and I both know I am a better wrestler than you, and you are a coward.

In a huge Raw moment, Punk agrees to the match despite not being a WWE employee (kayfabe) and there's your story (it writes itself from here). Del Rio represents the establishment, Vince's guy, everything a champion should be. Punk is the anti-establishment and a threat to Vince's company. Hell of a main event for your second biggest PPV of the year with the same, "fate of the company hangs in the balance" tagline. All this with Cena getting time off.

Have Punk go over at Summer Slam and two things happen from there. One, Del Rio gets the reputation of the guy who can never win the big one (first to cash in and lose, didn't win at Wresltemania after winning the Rumble, lost a ladder match to Christian), which makes him an even more vicious guy who stops whining about destiny and instead takes it into his own hands annihilating people like when he first debuted.

Second, Punk becomes a one-man NWO. A cool anti-establishment set on destroying the company. Perhaps his one-man gang grows to include guys like Bryan, or a re-signed Colt or Gallows.

The Nexus end up joining Vince's new corporation and flank Del Rio. It makes sense as Otunga has "the look" and is oh so hollywood. While McGillicutty has the pedigree. You can have Vince's crew vs. Punk solo, or Punk's independent scene crew, but either way this story can go long after SummerSlam and revive wrestling not missing a beat all with Cena and Rock waiting in the wings.

I think Vince needs to have a Corporation vs Anti-establishment feud, spanning both Brands.

Punk running RAW...Daniel Bryan winning the Smackdown title for the Renegades

Kofi Kingston (Needs a fresh start)
Zack Ryder
Maybe Unsigned Punk guys (Colt Cabana, Gallows, etc)

Stables might be a bit large, but I miss those NWO, Corporate Ministry 12 people in the ring stables. Then you have Cena, Orton deciding to either go their own way and go after the title on their own or join with one of these sides (Or start their own crew w/ A. Riley, Morrison, and Big Zeke). Just don't know what to do with the Miz and Sheamus in this scenario...(and to a lesser extent Truth and Wade Barrett).

I want one of two things to happen..

1) Punk goes with the anti-establishment role and single-handedly takes down the WWE, while Cena rests and gets out of the minds of all teenage-boys/girls/moms/wife around the world (which is WELL overdue, imo). Punk then continues to dominate the WWE until a returning superstar by the name of Chris Jericho, comes along and takes it back at Summerslam, while Cena rests up until the Royal Rumble, wins it and then wins the title/defends it against the Rock, all in one night.

2) They go back to an old-school King of the Ring format at Summerslam, where the winner of the tournament has to win 4-5 matches to be crowned champion. A mystery superstar (Jericho) will shock ADR in the championship, making ADR the superstar who can't get it done, and Jericho back on top.

Keep Punk off TV until at least SummerSlam I say -- sell itttttttt. If he really is going to the Cubs game tonight that's step one.

Yes, I completely agree with Chase. They've gotta keep both Cena and Punk off of television at least for a few weeks, and Punk even longer, to really sell the idea that Punk is gone and Cena is "fired." I say they vacate the championship tonight and introduce a new WWE championship to Del Rio, but Mysterio and R-Truth want to have a shot a the new WWE champion. They have three-way bout for the main-event that Del Rio loses and Mysterio goes on to win (I hate Mysterio but the kids love him and that is Vince's target audience). They have a main-event match at SummerSlam for the title (which Del Rio wins by submission).

Meanwhile, Cena takes two or three weeks off until right before SS. He asks to be re-signed to the 'E, but Vince refuses unless he competes against the opponent of his choosing, Triple H. And, it won't be any ordinary match but a Hell-In-a-Cell match. Cena is destroyed by Trips much like Undertaker at 'Mania and takes the entire Fall season to heal and prepare for the Rock. In December, he's been secretly re-signed by the Raw General Manager and he makes a triumphant return at the Royal Rumble.
