Half of the guys in this tournament have no business in a world title picture. Riley most notably, Truth next, and Swagger and Ziggler after that alongside Kofi who's a great midcarder.

I'm going with R-Truth tonight to become champion. He will fued with the returning John Morrison. Morrison wins the belt and Del Rio cashes in on him and wins. Thus setting up Del Rio vs CM Punk (Title vs Title) at Wrestlemania to crown the true WWE Champion.

What did you expect tonight? They need to have a tourney for a new champ -- there's no belt. It's just the MitB guys from last night again basically. If you want payoffs, you got to have some patience.

Not to mention one just had a PPV main event bout for title, the other is a former champ, and Ziggler can just go in the ring and is IC champ.

I respectfully disagree. You would think that holding an 8 man tournament would mean you put your 8 best men in and I think WWE probably feels these are their 8 most worthy performers. I guess that is my main argument.

I started another thread on the topic to discuss further so not to flood tonight's Raw thread.

A tournament is also used to put someone over, it technically doesn't have to have 8 most worthy performers .

I believe Swagger has more than earned the right to always been near the title. Truth's in-ring work needs help, but he has created a good niche character that will work in an 8 man tournament.

Riley is one of the hottest commodities they have, even though he is young in the business.
