So to clarify, adding any major title to both brands will result in people competing for it on both shows, or is it just the Undisputed Championship? Reading the original post, it sounds as though it could happen with any title as long as you assign it to both shows, but I just want to be sure.

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
It's my understanding that all first-run copies of the game will include a code to download the Rock, regardless of where you purchase. I'm sure someone else on here could give a more definite answer, but that's what I seem to recall hearing.Comment

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
I'm seeing wake up taunts all the time. Usually that's how I know the AI has a finisher, when I see the wake up taunt. Of course, by then it's too late (although I have reversed a finisher before).
As for comeback moments, I haven't seen any from the AI -- but in fairness I don't know if I've had a match against an opponent who has the comeback ability. I have had several comeback moments, but have yet to pull one off successfully. The AI is pretty good as reversing them (or else I'm really bad at hitting the buttons at the correct time).
When I play later today I'll make a point to wrestle guys who have comeback moments and see how often they happen.Comment

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
It sounds like people are really confused by the possible "brands". I keep seeing people posting FCW and AWA. The only options are Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Free Agent, Legend, and NXT. You can turn a show into AWA or FCW, but there is no such thing as an AWA roster.
And it is good to see you can destroy the brand extension, but it probably won't work the way I'd want. I would have the WWF and Euro title on one show and the WWF and IC on another show, but the problem is, I bet that the crossover talent never competes for those minor titles. So your IC title would only ever be defended on one show and not the other.Comment

Here's a vid on universe mode
BTW those asking about AI vs AI, this guy has tons of footage of it (legend mode) and it still sucks imo...

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
OK, instead of lowering the damage for finishers and weapons, I lowered the momentum bars. Wow what a difference that made!
I took Kofi against R-Truth and had what is probably my favorite match so far with WWE 12. With the momentum turned down, it took longer for each guy to reach his finisher. This led to more wear-down moves and a better pacing overall. The match was back and forth for the first 5 minutes or so, then as soon as I got a signature move, Truth rolled out of the ring to halt my momentum.
I went out after him and hit him with the SOS on the floor, thinking I could win by countout. But he got up at 7 and slid back into the ring. Having used my finisher, my momentum was completely empty, whereas his was almost full. He countered a grapple and next thing I know, I'm getting hit with his finisher and it was all over.
I don't know if I've mentioned this or not, but you can't see the CPU's momentum bar, so you never know how close they are to getting a finisher until it's too late. Personally I like it this way as I never know when that match-ending moment could occur. It keeps me on my toes at all times.
Anyway, I think lowering momentum might be the way to go, both if you want longer matches and matches with a better natural flow. I'll some more matches like this tomorrow and see if this trend continues.Comment

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
How many attributes did you need to change (and which ones) last year to get realistic results. If it's 1 or 2 then that's fine but if I have to change all the attributes for all the wrestlers then that sounds like alot of work.Comment

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
Looking at the stats this year, it seems there are more attributes that can play a bigger part, which will create that "separation" between those types of wrestlers.Comment

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
It only took about a 1/2 hour to change them. Basically you categorize them into Main eventers, mid carders, and jobbers. All DIVA stats were 30 and below. The "Santino's" were in the 30's and the Undertakers were 70's. This way there was a more "Realistic" outcome.

Just a question out of curiosity. Based on everything you have done with the game and taking into consideration gameplay, presentation, graphics, lasting appeal etc. What score would you give the game? (10 point scale)Comment

Re: WWE 12 Retail Impressions
So a quick comment/question about Unified Titles. So it sounds like if you have someone unify the Heavyweight or Tag Titles it essentially ends the Brand split. So I'm wondering if we can use this to create one big brand that has more than one minor title?
So for example if you start a Universe and you have a Unified World Champion, Unified Tag Champion and Unified Womens champion. Could you then have say the US Champion and European Champions left seperate as the minor titles. Since you said wrestlers from both brands will show up on both shows does that mean that wrestlers from both shows will then be included in the rankings for BOTH minor titles? I hope I'm explaining this well enough.Comment
