so basically prior to these edits, matches would be about 5 to 8 mins long?

i have only played a few and havent paid attention to be honest, but they did seem quick.

Just finished another using what Seymour is

only difference is that im plying on legend

I beat Booker T with Steamboat in 16:29 match

WE each kicked out of a finisher and then i beat em with a leverage pin

-50 at grapple and strike power is awesome, thanks

Yep every match I've played has been great, even the cage matches. Before every cage match would last 5 minutes because the AI would keep climbing the ring after 2 minutes and 3 moves, now they won't even attempt to climb until 8-10 minutes into the match and some good beat downs. I had a 12 minute cage match which would have went longer if I knew how to climb the cage properly to catch my opponent.

I'm keeping what I have, nice and simple and it only took me 10 minutes to edit all my wrestlers and minimal slider changes although I may have to tweak as I get better but I still have Legend diffuclty to use if I get better at hard. Right now it's perfect for me.

I'm totally satisfied and no complaints whatsoever and I don't think I will have a problem calling this game too easy. With these tweaks it's the best wrestling game I have ever played by a country mile. Little glitches here and there is not gonna bother me. The game play now puts every other wreslting game to shame (never played Fire Pro though). I played No Mercy and HCTP which is revered but that's more of a case of selective memory IMO.

I might try Irish's. They seem a little more thorough than just lowering grapple and strike by 50.

At the same time, if you do Lesnar vs. a jobber, these still go quick right? Sure, a 15 minute match between two top stars is nice, but if it results in 15 minute matches with jobbers, it isn't the best solution.

I might try Irish's. They seem a little more thorough than just lowering grapple and strike by 50.

Nice! I might try yours on a first run and see how they go, but I like the sound of lowering charisma as well (maybe not by 75). Maybe it'll make an Iron Match realistic. Might actually have a reason to do 60 minutes if there are only 3 or 4 falls per man.

I wonder if these changes also will help with 2/3 falls matches. I did one on Tuesday and it seems that within a minute or two of the first fall, you can easily get the 2nd. Maybe this will help keep the pace down where if you do win 2-0, it is after 15-20 minutes and not 5-10.

Played with these earlier and the Royal Rumble was a blast

yeah basically (in my experience atleast, but I played well over 50 matches)

Once I switched everyone to -50 at grapple and strike power, im starting to get 15-20 min matches(something I always wanted in a wrestling game(long matches))

Is it me or does momentum attack rate affect strikes more than (or only) grapples?

I had the slider at 0 and the bar at fastest and seen mostly grapple attcks raise the bar while strike didnt do anything.

Did you read his descriptions? Those affect success of reversals rather than actual defense. All lowering those does reduce the number of reversals (thank god).

Just 2cents.
Strat guides have been known to be wrong a lot of times but just wanted to let you know that the guide does claim that striking/grapple defense covers damage mitigation from those moves.

I'm actually OK with the amount of reversals (used to it after playing All Stars to death) so I will try without changing defense for now.

Only promblem ive been seeing is the cpu rarely gets a sig/finisher on me. The momentum might be to slow for them, or i could raise there reversals up a little so they can get some more offense. Any Suggestions?

They always seem to do the finishers on me. That's been the only way they've beaten me. I'm going to try and re-rate a ton of wrestlers, maybe an attribute has something to do with it.

Hmm...Paying around with durability (high) It seem like guys arent taking as much damage (strike/grappling at default) its really hard to tell as there is no hud altho I check the "paper doll" by triggering tge target limb system.

I changed the sliders as recommended but haven't done any attribute changes. Matches flow much better and isn't over in a blink.
