Universe should have a re-start option and here's why.

    The injuries are just ridicilous!

I have a tag team match against Demolition and now Smash is out for his career.

Nash ran interference on a Cena/Orton match and they are both out for their careers. I know injuries happen but the nature of how I've been experiencing them is just sad. I really hope I'm the only one having this issue.

But since Universe is not re-startable my only option is to delete my save file and lose hours of work on all my CAWs, it almost feels unfair at this point.

WTF? Thier career? Like forever and ever so you can't ever use them again? I didn't know they had those type of injuries which is extremely dumb. When was the last time a career ending injury in wrestling occurred unless some guy died. Who was stupid enough to program that into the game. That's a game killer if you really enjoy universe mode. That needs to be patched ASAP.

Smash has been injured. The doctors have concluded that a recovery is hopeless. I wonder if this is the end of his career.

That is what it says in the News section, the really humorous part is I beat Ax into the mat I barely touched Smash and he's the one that got hurt.

Last career ending injury was Edge earlier this year, but given his history that was more along the lines of "the straw that broke the camel's back" but I know what you mean.

I have not even started in Universe yet, as I am waiting for the proper CAWs to be released (it's going to be weeks to get the proper guys with the correct morphs, attire, etc.) but to hear about these career ending injuries is quite disappointing to say the least.

I figure what I will do is wait until I have everything exactly the way I want it before starting Universe mode and then saving that file on a memory card just in case something like this happens. That way, if you have to delete your file you can start over with minimal work.

Plus, it's going to take me forever to edit the movesets myself so I don't want to lose all that work.

You are assuming that statement means he's out for his career. jrider got the same message and Nash was only out for 2 months.

And I thought you could delete the game save that has the settings and it didn't touch saved creations?

OK that sounds like that infamous faint glimmer of hope that he will return in a few months (but don;t quote me on it as maybe the game takes this **** more seriously than the actual WWE)

You took out Smash and you don't even think about taking out Cena first? I hardly watch wrestling now but I watch enough that I hate that guy. Why he's pushed so much as a face by the WWE is beyond me. The guy has as much heel potential as the Honky Tonk Man did back in the late 80's. Boy did Honky garner good old fashion heat. I don;t think anyone was hated more than him and he was pushed as a face in the beginning and that totally flopped. There was no coolness to his heel turn. He was loathed by everyone although I liked him.

Nash took Cena out, I didn't really have to go do that job.

That's the thing, like I said Smash was in the ring maybe for a total of 1 or 2 combined minutes I barely touched and he is the one that got hurt.

It makes me wonder if injuries are totally random.

Your personal creations are actually tied to your one specific save file. Deleting that will make everything else you have corrupt and un-usable.

I had the same thing happen to me with Rhodes, but he eventually came back.

Yes, they eventually come back. They won't take a guy out forever.

I wanted to see what an injury was like and I beat the heck out of Eve for 20 minutes in HIAC and she didn't get injured. Thrown off, through, hit with weapons countless times, used finishers over and over but nope, just fine.

Though if I was having any sort of extended time with it I'd be more concerned momentum can't be turned off. Especially if you spend 2 hours adjusting ratings to make it play realistically as you can get it.

I'm pretty sure the longest a wrestler can be out for is 5-6 months. I have yet to see any throughout the first 8 months though.

I think it is safe to say they need to hire some creative writers. The recovery is hopeless line is how they describe every injury, no matter how major or minor. Regal got the crap beat out of him by Bryan and was taken out on a stretcher... but I highly doubt it is actually the end of his career.

Well isn't that the style of WWE
Everything is exaggerated. Everything is "OMG, that must have broken his neck!!"

Does a wrestler come back or is it part of a angle? Orton got injured within the first week from ADR and now he's in a remarkable match against ADR but when I try to change it and put him in a different match, he's injured. Will he just eventually come back or will it be through a angle?

That's been the style of pro wrestling since the 1950's. I remember in the 80's when Macho Man hit Ricky Steamboat with the bell and apparently broke his larynx. They must have milked that injury for a good 2 years.
