Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

I just finished playing the Royal Rumble PPV and here are the results.

Daniel Bryan(Me) defeats Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Title.

Demolition(Me) defeats Otunga and McGillicutty for the World Tag Titles.

CM Punk(Me) defeats Alberto Del Rio for WWE Title.

Mark Henry(Me) defeats Randy Orton for World Heavyweight Title

Daniel Bryan wins the Royal Rumble by eliminating The Rock(Me). The final four were Daniel Bryan, The Rock, Rey Mysterio and The Undertaker.
    Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Never let fear determine who you are. Never let where you came from determine where you are going.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Fatal 4 Way is officially my show!

Going into the PPV Nash was a mystery partner for Dolph (me) on Raw against Rocky and Swagger, we won and became level 3 allies.

Nash had a match vs. The Rock at Fatal 4 Way, I interfered, and we are now level 5 allies!

I was scheduled in a match as Cody Rhodes, defending my IC title against Christian (#2 contender) and since there was no World title match, Sheamus (my brother in law) had to put it on the line against me (#1 contender) in a user created match. We did that match first so he could go to bed.

I hit two Crossrhodes resulting in two ring escapes. He hit me with the Brough kick but accidentally picked me up instead of pinning me. I hit him with a float-over DDT and it busted him open and he couldn't kick out!

Then my IC Title match got changed and since he was no longer a major champion, I was set to face him in a rematch for my IC title instead of Christian. Two more Crossrhodes, he ring escaped both, taunted, got his finisher, but tapped to the sleeper before he could hit me with it!

The main event saw Swagger defend his WWE title against Dolph (me), Miz, and Otunga (wtf) in a Fatal 4 Way tables match. I speared Miz through the table to reclaim my title. Since Swagger was never defeated I hope our rivalry continues. I forgot to defend my U.S. Title, so I'll do it now on Raw.

My brother-in-law is heated I hold all the singles gold with Rhodes and Ziggler.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

So why does everyone think the number of matches is too few? Since most of us take out divas, pretty sure you never see more than 4 (maybe 5 on a good night) superstar matches on Raw and Smackdown. 3 matches on Superstars sounds normal from when it was televised; doubt they added show time on the internet. And looking at this past year's PPVs...

Royal Rumble: 4 matches (that includes the Rumble)
          Elimination Chamber: 5
          Wrestlemania: 8
          Extreme Rules: 8
          Over the Limit: 8
          Capitol Punishment: 8
          Money in the Bank: 6
          Summerslam: 7
          Night of Champions: 7
          Hell in a Cell: 7
          Vengenace: 8
          Survivor Series: 6

And just about all those PPVs included a divas match, so yea, if they expect us to use divas, then it needs to be more like 5, maybe 6, for Raw and Smackdown, 3/4 for Superstars, and 7-8 for PPV. But no divas, it's just about spot on. Average this past year was just under 6 non-diva matches.

Is that the norm though? Rock elbow drop from the top of the cage and bounces up ready to roll a second later?

They both would be dead. Literally dead. So in this case I prefer the arcade like result.

Yea, they didn't program big bumps that well. In the ladder match, you can get powerbombed off the top and you are up in an instant. I did see Triple H get suplexed last night and he sold it and then laid there a bit, but he was worn out at that point.

You know what I meant. Could have at least stayed down a bit like in previous games. Wonder what happens if he misses instead of hitting?

Not a game killer. Was just curious because he rode the bump really well, lol.

LOL! I needed a good laugh, thanks for posting.

By the way, I've been reading this thread religiously and it sounds like you guys are having a great experience with Universe Mode. This is very encouraging to me. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and pick this game up after I head to the game store and trade in Uncharted 3 (finished it the other day and don't play online multiplayer) towards it.

                        Keep the stories coming, guys!

I'm waiting for something serious to happen here but I've had Mark Henry face off against Undertaker four times now. It all started when Henry attacked Taker with his championship belt, but four matches later and these guys can't decide where they want to go with this rivalry. I'm going to fire a writer or two!

What surprised me most is that they did not face off in Royal Rumble despite having already had three matches together. So I thought maybe the storyline was over. Nope. Ready to roll on the following SmackDown. By the way, Henry is 3-1 in these matches. Not even the world's strongest man can kill a dead guy.

Had a remarkable match between Slater and Ezekial Jackson. Slater has lately been feuding with Cody Rhodes. Not sure why exactly but Rhodes has decided he doesn't like Slater. Most don't.

So before the match Rhodes comes out of the stands and attacks Slater. Nothing too serious except Jackson got in a few punches outside the ring before the bell rang.

As expected Ezekial steamrolls through Slater. As Ezekial walks out of the ring, Rhodes decides to drop in for an encore beat down. Except, hold your horses! Ezekial isn't having that. Jackson jumps into the ring and lets Rhodes know that in his ring he's the only one that can inflict damage on Slater.

Rhodes goes crying away (a usual occurrence for him I'm sure) and Slater stands up to see that Jackson has developed a man crush for the boy wonder. Both stare at each other as Ezekial rides off into the sunset, a flower and thank you letter likely awaiting him at his dressing room.

                            Good man lol

As i said in the EA NHL section this is the most immersed i have been in a sports game mode since, well since i was a kid. I dont think you'd regret getting it.

The other day i had a 14hr session, that included getting everything set up, trying other guys sliders and working my way through to Elimination Chamber. I am now 5 weeks away from Wrestlemainia and there are some great storylines coming together.

I was playing Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions and finishing off Arkham City but since getting WWE 12 i haven't had another game in the machine.

Match 4 in the Booker T/Nash feud had Nash winning the falls count anywhere and then when the match was ordered to restate as a submission match Nash won again with a bear hug. Nash has come out on top at every turn so far(I haven't even controlled him every match). Should set up a great match at the Rumble.

So far I've been playing everything that Universe has booked. But after the last match with Big Show and Henry, Sheamus, Regal and Chavo came out to the top of the ramp. I have the united kingdom stable in my franchise so I can't figure out why Barrett or Drew didn't come out. I'm thinking of editing the alliances and enimies so Chavo is replaced. Will that work or will it keep including Chavo?

Ok here's what my PPV lineup looks like:

                                US Championship:
                                John Morrison(champ) vs Goldust
I'll be changing Goldust since he didn't even wrestle a match to earn the shot.

                                Intercontinental Championship:
                                Cody Rhodes(champ) vs Arn Anderson
Arn won a triple threat to get the shot.

                                Women's Championship:
                                Layla(champ) vs Natalya
Probably gonna change this. Either to a Diva title match or Tag Title Match

                                WWE Championship:
                                Del Rio(champ) vs HHH

                                World Heavyweight Championship:
                                Mark Henry(champ) vs Nash

                                Royal Rumble

I was going to try and keep everyone separate on Raw and Nitro even on PPV's but I don't have enough guys to fill out the Rumble haha. I'll see what I come up with and let u know the results
