Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Just had a great end to Smackdown. Main talking points were an upset as Ezekiel Jackson destroyed the Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and Kane's music hitting in the Main Event as the Undertaker was had (me) Christian in the last Ride.

Kane distracted the referee i Christian got some offense going and hit the kill switch for the Undertaker to kick out on two. Both Taker and Christian went back and forth from there but a Christian reversal into a small package got him the three count.

Oh and Big Shoow and Mark Henry have formed a Tag Team after putting their differences behind them. They had been feuding before the Rumble.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

John Cena - ADR (me) rivalry going strong. Split the first two matches. Beth Pheonix came out and celebrated with Cena after the first match.
I'm very surprised that Cena didn't get the title match at the Rumble nor did he interfere in that match. Big Show got the Rumble title match.
In the rubber match right after the Rumble, Beth decides bring out a steel chair after the match and use it on ADR. Cena fakes like he wants her to stop, takes the chair and starts hitting ADR himself. Cena should be getting the title match at EC.

      Current champs:
      WWE: ADR
      US: Dolph
Diva: Beth defeated Kelly Kelly at the Rumble
      Tag: Otunga and Mc.

      Smackdown
      WHC: Randy Orton
IC: Wade Barrett just defeated Ezekial Jackson at the Rumble for the title.

      Rumble Winner: The Rock

The other big storyline going on in Superstar (of all places) is a 3 man feud between Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and Justin Gabriel. Gabriel being the punching bag in that feud.

Miz joined up with Swagger and Dolph Ziggler after he beat the legend HBK.

After playing for a while now I think the following needs addressing:
      - Interference is big part of Universe and it's a mess right now. You got people running to the ring and doing nothing. There's also that interference infinite loop where the AI won't break the pin when there's interference.
      - Another thing they should address with this mode is the continuity. Why do two guys face off multiple weeks and then there's no huge payoff match at a PPV. Instead the champ faces off against the #1 contender who hasn't stuck his nose in the champ's business the entire month.

Update on me and my roommates universe:

Just got done with our Halloween Havoc (Bragging Rights) PPV with some shakeup around the WWE. We play every match at PPVs and sim RAW and Smackdown a majority of the time. Now onto results:

Edge defeated Alberto Del Rio (c) for the Intercontinental Title.

Shawn Michaela (c) defeated Sin Cara to retain the U.S. title.

Air Boom defeated Academic Excellence (Ziggler & Swagger) (c) for the Tag Team titles.

            Zack Ryder defeated Wade Barrett.

The Rock defeated Mark Henry (c) for the WWE Championship.

Brock Lesnar (c) defeated CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Was pretty good PPV. Edge ended ADRs 8 month IC title reign. Air Boom defeated AE so I can finally put Ziggler back in the WWE title hunt. Rock also defeated Henry for the belt after a 3 month long run. So we'll see how that goes. Lesnar also continued to dominate as he's been in the Main Event picture ever since our first Royal Rumble PPV.

Haven't gotten too far yet but from my experiences no. I got Brock and SCSA.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Just had a pretty great Royal Rumble PPV, ending sucked though. Decided to make it a WWE only PPV (with some WCW guys in the rumble cause I didn't have enough)

                Tag Team Championship
                Zigg Swagg vs Demolition(c)
Great match, lots of tags which I was pleased to see. I thought it was over when Smash kicked out of Swagger's gut wrench and went on a roll but Ziggler got eventually got in and won it with a superplex. Zigg Swagg are NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!

                IC Championship
                Arn Anderson vs Cody Rhodes(c)
Another hell of a match, 3 times I thought the match was over and it was just a close 2. Rhodes was able to kick out of a spinebuster and eventually hit Cross Roads to retain.

                Diva Championship Extreme Rules
                Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix(c)
In the cool down match Beth Phoenix retained pretty easily after destroying Kelly with a guitar.

                WWE Championship
                HHH(me) vs Alberto Del Rio(c)
HHH wins easily in a match that made me decided to bump up the difficulty haha. It's rumored that on Raw HHH will debut the return of the Attitude Era Belt.

                Icon vs Icon
                Cena vs The Rock
I'm done waiting to see this match so I just threw it in. Lots of huge offense in this one. Both guys hit their finishers and both guys kicked out. It ended after a pretty sweet sequence where Rock went for the Rock Bottom, Cena countered into the FU which Rock countered into the Rock Bottom for the win. After the match Cena was taken out on a stretcher. This marks the third WWE face to get hurt this month. Cena joins Punk and Ryder on the shelf.

                Royal Rumble
Pretty good match. Couple talking points. It started with Orton and Kane. Orton threw Kane out right away, then Vince came down and threw Orton out right away. Very weird. HBK was seen working with Vince McMahon at certain points, I wonder what this could mean going forward. The award for longest time spent in the Rumble goes to Ted DiBiasse surprisingly enough. The final 3 were Arn Anderson, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and Christian. AA ended up eliminating Christian. Not pleased with that result but it is what it is.

Huge annoyance though is that the next night on raw the remarkable match is Otunga vs McGillicutty again...WTF. I put McGillicutty on a dead brand and eliminated all alliances for everyone but he shows up again. Not happy.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Cena's the WWE Champion, Rock is the WCW Champion. Every damn PPV for like 3 months, after The Rock would retain his title, Cena would come out and either beat the hell out of him or stand at the top of the ramp indicating he wanted a title shot.

So, I finally decided to roll with it. After Cena screwed with Rocky at Fatal 4way, I took Rock and interfered in Cena's match on Raw that next Friday (even though Rock is on WCW). Then I took Cena and interfered in Rock's next match. And I kept doing that.

Finally, I culminated it with a unification match at Money in the Bank between the two. Ladder match for the Undisputed WWE/WCW Championship. Cena dominated. Hit Rock with 3 AA's, put him through 2 tables, and generally beat the hell out of him. But it wasn't enough. Rock won and unified the belts.

That Thursday at Clash I gave Cena his return match. Universe decided Rock should beat the holy hell out of Cena before the match even started, and Rock retained easily. But I loved that it happened, because it gave me an excuse to extend the feud another month and give Cena a fair shot at SummerSlam.

The feud continued into SummerSlam with that HIAC match, which I posted that video of, and Rock retained.

That was probably my favorite feud I've played out so far.

                    That does indeed sound awesome.

I deleted my save file a few days ago and will be rolling with Monday Night Nitro, WCW/WWE on Thurs., and Smackdown on Fri. Will put all WCW on Nitro(just need to download a Goldberg and possibly a few other guys) and the best of current WWE on Smackdown along with Kurt Angle,HBK,etc. I'll do my best to distribute the mid carders among the 2 if I need the extra guys.

last week on RAW Del Rio come out and attacked Punk with a steel pipe, This week the two face off and After Punks entrance Del Rio's music hits but he jumps Punk from behind. During the match (me) Del Rio hit my finisher but Punk never tapped, he then destroyed Del Rio and eventually hit Del Rio with two GTS. I kicked out the first but the second was to much.

After the match a cutscene of Del Rio going mental and destroying the announcers table. Cole pipes in: Dont come near me i am undefeated at Wrestlemainia. Del Rio knocks Cole out. lol.

Even a game its awesome to see Cole be shut up.

Nope. I had a mystery opponent for an Iron Man match as Dolph Ziggler and it ended up being the Rock. I exited out and put my U.S. title on the line since I forgot to put it on the line at Fatal 4 Way, and the second time I played, my mystery opponent ended up being Del Rio.

Brock gave me a pre-match beatdown, but I took a commanding lead anyway. Once beaten down, Del Rio leverage-pinned me to death. I still won with a final score of 6-4, but it was a great match.

I don't get the random legends showing up in my universe in storylines, but I mentioned earlier steps to take to prevent that from happening.

We played up to Money in the Bank

Mark Henry overcame The Rock, Wade Barrett, and three jobbers (Santino, Kidd, and Regal) to win Money in the Bank (all CPU).

Cody Rhodes (Me) defeated Undertaker (CPU) via two Crossrhodes to retain his World Heavyweight title. His Intercontinental title was not defended.

Dolph Ziggler (Me) defeated Mason Ryan (CPU) via Zig Zag to retain the U.S. Title.

Air Boom's (CPU) 7 month title reign was ended by Otunga & McGillicutty (CPU) as new tag team champions were crowned. Air Boom losing makes Rhodes the sole longest reigning champion in Universe.

Nash, Swagger, Miz (all CPU), and Morrison (brother-in-law) will compete in a meaningless ladder match. This will be good for my brother-in-law. He's playing as JoMo and Sheamus, and Morrison has been off TV for awhile. Miz, Swagger, and Nash are the #2, #3, and #4 contenders for my WWE title.

Speaking of... In the worst main event ever, both contestants performed double duty as Dolph Ziggler defeated the #1 contender for the WWE title David Otunga via sleeper.

While it might take longer, to progress through the weeks, I think we each need to pick up a third person to play as so we can have more storylines and a disparity of title holders. If he agrees, I'm going to pick up Del Rio as my third to make it a challenge. I think it'll be harder to work the arm and use submissions every match.

One thing I do to make those run ins count is:

If Im the guys he's after and since they come out when you get a sig, I hit my sig/finisher or both (which ever comes first) then go for a pin, when the run in buddy distracts the ref, I'll break up the pin and just run to the run in buddy and knock him down from the apron and he'll leave after that. I just act like its an "automatic kick out" card.

If the run in buddy is on my side, I'll take the fight outside before or after I'm pinned.

Meanwhile, ADR apparently became a face (or tweener) after a good match with HHH for the #1 contender spot. ADR and HHH became allies after the match....I hope its part of some screw job story line...

He still has Cena as a level 1 rival even though they are both at "Cheer"

Ezekiel Jackson worked his way up the ladder and face Edge for the World Heavyweight title at hell in a cell, and he won. He is the 1st 80s level guy to do so with out me pushing them.
Now if i could get Nash and HHH to get back in the rankings, kinda funny seeing them on Stars HD every week.

Face vs. face and heel vs. heel rivalries are VERY common in Universe. I play as Dolph Ziggler and get beaten down weekly like a face and put in handicap matches often as well. You'd think I were a face, but I constantly check and am still set to "boo".

Any negative consequences if I edit matches?
