Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
I just put Alberto Del Rio (former WWE Title Belt owner) in a stretcher after a half hour long Last Man Standing battle between he and Triple H. It was brutal, and a lot of fun.
A couple of questions for you universe veterans...
1) Can I edit a match without having to jump right in it? For example, I'll often look at a match card and want to change the main event, but if I click edit, or interfere, it jumps right to the match. I'd rather be able to play the others first, then click next match with an already edited main event.
2) Is there anyway to set up a #1 contender match?
Thanks!Writer for Operation Sports

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
Okay, I fixed DX's entrance. Thanks.
I just had something pretty cool happen in Universe. Lesnar was set up to face Kane and "???" in a handicap match on Smackdown... Kane's partner ended up being The Undertaker, who I have in the Legends section and hasn't been used since I started the Universe. This being only a few weeks from Wrestlemania, I think I'm going to book Taker/Lesnar as the 'streak' match. The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.Comment

I believe the answer to both of these questions is no. For your second question, I think a lot of people just edit a match and in their head/pretend it is a number 1 contenders match, then edit it accordingly for the ppv or whenever you want it to take place.
Hope this helps.Comment

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
Summer Slam Results
Match 1: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Alex Riley for the Intercontinental Title.
Riley earned his opportunity to face Rhodes by winning a 3-on-1 Handicap match on SmackDown. A fast paced brawl between the two. The turning point of the match was when Rhodes and Riley were fighting on the outside, Rhodes hit the Alabama Slam putting Riley through the announce table. Riley beat the Ref's 10 count, but fell victim to Rhodes's Beautiful Disaster Kick and Cross Rhodes.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
Match 2: Sheamus vs. Mark Henry
About a month earlier, Sheamus had defeated Mark Henry to earn an opportunity to become #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title. Mark Henry was feuding with Big Show at the time and Sheamus ended up coming to the aid of Show when Mark Henry and The Miz were attacking him. While not as good as their previous encounter, Sheamus took the victory with the Brogue Kick.
Winner: Sheamus
Match 3: Kofi Kingston/Evan Bourne (c) vs. Jimmy/Jey Uso for the WWE Tag Team Titles.
The match was a Tornado Tag match to ensure that the Uso's couldn't to a switch so they would both be in the ring at the same time. After a back and forth battle between the two teams, Kofi hit the SOS on Jey to pick up the victory.
Winner: Air Boom
Match 4: Dolph Ziggler vs. CM Punk in a Ladder Match.
Ziggler won the Raw MITB Ladder Match at Money in the Bank. Punk tried to get Ziggler to face him at Summer Slam, but Ziggler refused. On the final Raw before Summer Slam, Punk defeated Husky Harris, Tyler Reks and Jack Swagger in a Gauntlet Match to not only face Ziggler, but to pick the stipulation for their match. So not only was Ziggler gonna have to face Punk in a Ladder Match, but he would also have to put up his MITB Contract as well. Ziggler and Punk brutalized each other with ladders including Ziggler pushing a ladder over with Punk on it into another ladder leaned against a corner. Ziggler secured the win the win a Superplex off the ladder to keep his MITB Contract.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler
Match 5: The Miz (c) vs. John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Title.
At WM, Del Rio defeated Triple H and Rey Mysterio to have a WWE Title when he felt like having it. Del Rio declared that he would face The Miz at Summer Slam, but John Cena having been screwed out of the title on MITB got one last chance after pinning The Miz. I can't really remember the big details from this match as it seemed like it would never end. All 3 men were heavily bleeding, but wouldn't stay down. The end saw Miz get tossed out the ring and Del Rio hit and Enzuigiri to pin Cena.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
Match 6: Wade Barrett (c) vs. Christian for the World Heavyweight Title.
Christian won the SD MITB Ladder match, but since only one man can hold the title of "Mr. Money in the Bank", Christian would cash in to face Barrett in the main event of Summer Slam. Late in the match Barrett hit Wasteland, but when Christian kicked out, Barrett tossed the Ref halfway across the ring. The match continued and Barrett ended up hitting a second Wasteland, but Christian too close to the ropes. Barrett attempted a third Wasteland, but Christian caught Barrett with the Killswitch and pinned Barrett to win the title.
Winner: ChristianMinnesota Vikings Connected Franchise (M15/PS4):

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
Crazy things going on leading into my Money in the Bank PPV. First my unified tag team champions Demolition had broken up just 2 weeks before the PPV on Superstars.
My US Champion, Kozlov, was just injured the raw before in a title match preview with The Undertaker, the number one contender for the belt.
Also pretty cool, and had nothing to do with my, but Michael McGillicuty and Mr. Perfect have started to feud on Superstars. I don't want a lot of the Superstars matches, but will keep an eye on this.
I have never edited a PPV yet, but may do this with 2 title belts now in Limbo due to the Demo split and Kozlov injury.
HOLY HELL!!!
Mark Henry, my WHC was booked the last match before the ppv on smackdown against ???...His opponent making his very first appearance in my Universe ever - - - STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN!!! and it's been switched to an Iron Man Match...I don't even know if I unlocked Stone Cold, I didn't intend on him being part of my Universe, but you can bet I'm keeping him now...awesome moment in my universe.
I just watched this 15 min Ironman match
Fall one to Austin following a stunner at the 11:30 mark
Fall two to Henry after worlds strongest slam at the 7:45 mark
fall three to Henry after an atomic drop 30 seconds later
fall four to Austin following tilt-a-whirl slam 30 more seconds later!! (This is crazy)
fall five to Austin following a bull-dog at the 6:00 mark
fall six to Austin following a stunner 4:00
Fall seven to Austin at 2:45 with another tilt-a-whirl
Fall eight to Henry after worlds strongest slam at 2:15
Austin wins 5 to 3, but Henry gave a good account of himself if this feud is to continue.
Wasn't planning on playing/simming the MITB tonight but after this I think I will. Thanks for humoring me guys!
double edit - Had a pretty cool PPV going only to see it freeze after the 5th match. Because I hit next match and not exited to the fight card none of the previous matches saved - ugh, watched a 25 minute MITB match too...I'm officially on video game tilt now!Last edited by Thunderbb; 12-30-2011, 03:32 AM. Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
I'm oddly getting into this. I might even do a dynasty style write up if I find the time. I just had my WM and it was pretty solid and had very little editing of the card.
Wrestlemania XVII
United States Championship
Singles
Booker T vs. Goldberg ©
Result: This was so much fun to watch. In a rematch from Elimination Chamber, Booker T and Goldberg battled back and forth. There were at least five different momentum swings in this, to include the awesome finale wherein Booker set up for his finisher only to Goldberg counter and hit the jackhammer. Goldberg retains.
Tag-Team Championship
Tag-Team
The Hardy Boyz vs. Air-Boom ©
Result: Because of Jeff Hardy’s previous injury preventing him from competing, I declared the Hardyz’ #1 contention null-and-void and found a surprise tag-team…. The Outsiders, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall! The match was pretty dull, however. Nash and Hall dominated the entire thing; the Outsiders won via pinfall following an Outsider’s Edge on Kofi. New champions.
Intercontinental Championship
Triple-Threat Ladder
Rey Mysterio vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Edge ©
Result: This was a back and forth bout in the early stages with a lot of good ladder action between the three, but the CPU made some stupid decisions that really ruined the experience of it. Mysterio almost had it at one point, only to have RVD pull him down. Edge retained the title when he caught RVD and Mysterio on the ladder at the same time and shoved it over, knocking them both off. He set it back up and scaled it for the win. Title retained.
#1 Contender for the Undisputed World Championship
Fatal Four Way – Extreme Rules
CM Punk v. Randy Orton v. Stone Cold Steve Austin v. Triple H
Result: I have a legitimate controversy! Triple H hit the Pedigree on Randy Orton seconds before Stone Cold finished off CM Punk. Both men pinned their respective opponents at the same time, but Triple H was awarded the victory. I have even video proof! I’ve never seen anything like this before, at least not from a video-game. Leave it to the game to create a storyline like this by complete accident. I guess I have a month’s worth of SCSA/HHH rivalry to plan out.
“The Streak” Match
Singles
Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
Result: This was a short match and was pure domination by The Dead Man. Lesnar started off strong and almost won with a early close two-count, but Undertaker surged back and never looked back. The Last Ride, a chokeslam, and the Tombstone put away Brock Lesnar and perpetuated the Phenom’s unbeaten streak.
Undisputed World Championship
Best 2-out-of-3 falls
Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho ©
Result: The best match I’ve played so far. It was back-and-forth the entire time. I wasn’t aware that CPU heels are programmed to be able to intentionally get count-out in a championship match as to lose the match, but not the title. As HBK, I had a healthy exchange with Jericho throughout the entire match. He got me with the Walls of Jericho and I ended up tapping. Jericho 1-0. I thought it was going to be a quick 2-0 him when he hit me with the enziguri, but I rolled out of the ring to escape any follow-up. Michaels ended up planting a flying elbow on him as he lay outside before rolling him back into the ring and hitting Sweet Chin Music on him for the pin. Tied at 1-1. The final fall was classic. After a series of momentum swings (I turned momentum build on low for this match), I gained the upper hand. Jericho got busted open after a DDT and, bloodied, I set him up for a final super-kick to end the match…. only he countered, kicked me in the gut, and hit the Codebreaker. Somehow I managed to kick out thanks to the resiliency feature. A few moves later, I reversed something of his and planted a quick Sweet Chin Music from a stored finisher and covered him for the 1-2-3. New champion. The Last of Us is the Citizen Kane of video-games. It is better than every game that has ever come before it, and is the new benchmark for all games to follow. It is nothing short of a work of art.Comment

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
Money in The Bank, take 2, first one froze after the fifth match.
I watch all PPV matches -
The Money in The Bank match - McGillicutty, Santino, Big Boss Man, Del Rio, Hulk Hogan, Lex Lugar
None of these guys has gotten a major push so far, with the exception of Santino being a tag champion. Just recently Hulk Hogan has shown signs of starting a feud with my WHC Mark Henry, but he's still low in the rankings. Del Rio started the universe as the WWE champion, but has continued to be pushed down the rankings. However, he keeps showing up in major storylines despite my best efforts. Right before the PPV McGillicutty got put in a triple-threat match with his father, which I thought was cool. Only one CAW (more on that later) has ever had a significant push thus far.
Results - Last nights match was much cooler with McGillicutty winning, but tonight in a little under five minutes Santino has captured the MITB contract.
World Heavyweight Championship - (c) Mark Henry vs. Wade Barrett.
Barrett is performing double duty, with his second chance at gold coming later in a tag-team title match. His first match of the night is a successful one, as he defeated my longest reigning champion Mark Henry for his first career title! I'm a little upset, as Henry was/is a beast in my universe.
US Championship Kozlov (c) v. The Undertaker
Undertaker only recently showed back up in my universe, and the first order of buisness for the former All American bad *** is to bring the US Title back home. Shockingly enough, Kozlov retains his title in fairly easy fashion
Undisputed Tag Team Championship - Demolition (c) vs. Jackson and Barrett
Recently Demolition just broke up, but will try to stick together to defend the titles against the newly formed team of Jackson and Barrett. After a long and grueling match Big Zeke pinned Ax to give Barrett his second title belt of the night. I guess Demolition are free to continue feuding now.
Falls Count Anywhere John Cena VS. Big Show...oddly enough when I played this last night it was Christian and Lesnar in a Falls Count anywhere match...anywho this match is pretty much pure filler...Cena won
Main Event WWE Championship CM Punk (c) vs. 90's Sting
As mentioned, Sting is the only one to ever get a push from my list of CAW's. he participated in the fatal four way match that Punk won the title at and now he's getting his 1 on 1 shot.
Prior to the math John Cena is shown in the first row having bought a ticket...I guess earning his first win in months in my universe makes him think he's ready for the winner of this match...The winner of the match and NEW champion, 90's sting, who by the way is a giant heel...Cena did nothing but watch.
lol, interesting ppv, I wish the one last night wouldn't have froze and not saved, but I guess this is what we will go with now...what a list of champions I have now, haha, I guess this is why it's my universe and not the real world (lol obv)
Champions after tonight -
WWE Champ - Sting
US Champ - Kozlov
Unified Tag - Jackson and Barrett
WHC - Barrett
IC Champion - KaneComment

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
Brock is just dominating my Universe, he was involved in a feud with Randy from the his debut on my first Raw right through until Wrestlemania. Brock took the WHC from Orton at Elimination Chamber by pinning him last, he then defended his title against Randy in a Last Man Standing match at WM before destroying my WWE Champion Edge on raw the following night.
On Raw Edge took the belt at Elimanation Chamber by pinning Cena, Del Rio who was the champ going into EC was eliminated first. Edge then beat my Royal Rumble winner Jack Swagger at WM.
One real neat moment during my first draft the night after WM was seeing Rock drafted to Smackdown in what was his first appearance in my Universe.Comment

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
And this is why we need some great sliders for this game. You rarely see 8 falls in a 60-minute iron man match let alone a 15-minute one. It's a video game so you aren't going to get the great suspense and realism of a last fall with 2 seconds left or whatever, but there is no way there would be 8 falls in that short amount of time.Comment

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?
- RAW - As we continue from Triple H & Bobby Roode's crossbrand Double DQ outside to open up RAW...I decided to go the Smackdown route to keep up with current WWE happenings, pitting tonight's matchup of Ezekial Jackson vs. Drew McIntyre. I suppose in "real" life McIntyre is in a must-win situation against a promo-driven Ezekial. In the game, however, as good of a lower-tier card match it was, Jackson still got the victory. What lies in McIntyre's future, we will have to wait and see. I already have him branded TNA in here, anyway (to fulfill the 15), so that would work.
Alicia faces Natalya in a tag match tonight, so I had the 2 ladies square off in a triple threat with Bree Bella. Alicia got the pinfall. I never realized how much fun it would be to use the Diva's -- they're pretty scrappy.
We go into our main event, the true main event of tonight's S-Down, with Randy Orton facing Wade Barrett in a pinfalls count anywhere match. Rightfully so, after a long and back 'n forton ih punishing brawl, Wade got the better of RKO on the arena's entrance staging, securing the pinfall. With Orton out on injury for a while, it's time to clean him off the cards for a lil' bit and push Barrett towards Big Show, X-Pac, or Danny Bryan.
- Smackdown - For whatever reason, I enjoy the
spontaneity of allowing the computer to do the first match. JBL opening up my Thursday program kills me every time. Better yet, though, was seeing my latest CAW "Masked Kane '12" square off against Bradshaw!! I had the better of the cowhoon for most of the match, with Kane beating up Bradshaw in and out of the ring, side-suplexing him on the concrete, only to finish him with a goodnight tombstone. JBL got the rope break, but Kane finished him off with a brutal bearhug. Major push for the reborn superstar! (Cenaaaaaa....)
Now, with TNA's Genesis underway this Sunday, I finished off Smackdown -- going with the TNA ring -- for 2 of the PPV's lower tier, but still titilating, matchups: a face "Pope" D'Angelo Dinero (who got a win on my Impact last weekend) against Devon, who's caught plenty of heel-heat in the past 2 shows with brawls against Sting/Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson. R-Truth accompanied D'Angelo ringside, and helped a hell of a lot. Yet, despite all the great distraction to execute a couple amazing top rope splash flips and some finishers, I couldn't pin Devon. Ever frustrated, I suplexed him on-top of the annouce table and then smashed him over the head with a chair in the ring. Can you say Extreme Rules next time?
Finally, we close off this Smackdown/Genesis "preshow" with Kurt Angle vs. "Cowboy" James Storm. As Storm heads down the entrance, he's attacked by BULLY RAY!! The match conceded to a 10-minute brawl, filled with plenty of brash kicks and daring top rop manuevers from Cowboy, but it was too little, too late as Angle suplexed his way to a finish. After the match, Angle punished Storm with plenty of mudhole stomps! Very cool.
- TNA/IMPACT GENESIS - Bully Ray may have bitten off more than he can chew, b/c up next was a Monster's Ball (a.k.a Free Brawl in the game) match against "The Monster" Abyss. God bless him. And yeah, after putting up a good stink, Abyss closed Ray's face into a doorway and kicked his face in
Seeing how I don't have many X-Division guys other than the champion Austin Aires, no better time than now to use many of the cruiserweight guys I took over to TNA to fulfill the 15. Aires defends his X-title (Light Heavyweight Championship) against Tyson Kidd (for Kid Kash, wullah), Sin Cara (for Zema Ion), and tonight's "real" Smackdown returnee Justin Gabriel (For Jesse Sorenson). OH NO...After my Aires nailed Sin Cara with a top rope ddt onto a chair, Tyson Kidd snuck in on Cara with a reverse superplex bridge for a 3...New X-Division Champion TYSON KIDD "Kash"!!!!!!!!
TNA Tag Team Championship: the Wild Card team of Samoa Joe & Mason Ryan (who's a lot like a bearded version of TNA's Magnus, and they come out great to the "Team 15" entrance, which was Jackson and Hendrick) vs. Crimson & Matt Morgan. Back n forth action, with Joe landing several of his infamous suplexes, but the newfound domination of Crimson and Morgan proved too much as an excellent double-team move featuring Morgan's INSANE BOOT to the headfinished off Joe. Will we see more from "Wild Card" soon? I still hope so.
This Sunday's Main Event will feature TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy. Maybe you read, but Jeff Jarrett recently won a triple theat cage match over Hardy with the help of Bully Ray for #1 contender. To boot, Roode has taken a bit of interest to Triple H as of late as well. So how does one go about this? Triple H will get his revenge against Roode at next week's Royal Rumble. In the meanwhile, both Hardy & JJ (I suppose) deserve their shot at the gold. So let's do this in a 3-way dance people. Let's make it triple threat for the rock!
Great match, lots of outside double team moves and JJ and Roode helped each other for the most part, Hardy fought valiantly but as JJ locked a chair in his legs, Roode took advantage by snapping his leg with some stomps...as JJ congratulated himself Roode made Hardy tap. Post-match, officials rushed to the ring to check on Hardy's condition...Comment
