    Move tendencies idea

If any of you guys play the NBA 2k series than you're aware of the tendencies system we can tweak that will make players play almost identical to their real life counterparts. Almost every aspect of the game has a tendency attached to it.

So i'm sitting here on my computer doing some work and I just have my WWE Universe just simulating matches. I notice my CAW doing moves that I rarely have him do in a match and I had this idea. What if each move has a tendency percentage to do a certain move type.

    It could be something like

If he is a big man

    Top rope vs standing: 10%
    Top rope vs laying: 0%

If he is a brawler like Steve Austin it may be something like all is grapple moves would be at 30%-40% and strikes would be at 60%-70%

Kane does his top rope clothsline so he could be

    Top rope vs standing 60%

It's part of his signature offense so in a Kane match their is a 60% chance he'll do his clothsline.

If you didn't want a guy doing a move all together it would be 0%. I listened to an interview with X-Pac and he was talking about he always hated people doing moves from the turnbuckle like a superplex. He said he never did it because it didn't have much logic to it, going up just to bring him back down. Therefore X-Pac would have all his turnbuckle moves aside from the tree of woe at 0%

Just thought I'd share this cool idea that I hope is implemented in future WWE games.

    Re: Move tendencies idea

I think it had something like this before but it was hard coded for certain superstars to make them use moves that aren't normally done. I think the example they used was Undertaker using his old school move.

And this would only add a ridiculous amount of time to a CAW. There are tons of moves that you have to pick, and every single one of them you'd have to figure out a tendency, and for guys that may not have wrestled in years, that may get difficult awful fast.

Fire Pro has a system like this and it works pretty well. I think it would be great, particularly if they had presets so you could quickly choose a template or get granular and customize a set.

As the game stands, I've been wondering if there isn't move tendencies (other than signature hard-coded stuff) depending on where the move is assigned. I see some CAWs never use some moves in favor of others which gets me to ask myself why they consistently choose one over the other.

1991 was the 1st game I noticed this on , it being Fire Pro for the Super nes.

I really doubt Yukes/THQ would ever adopt this type of system. If 2k sports would make a wrestling game , then maybe.I cant wait til 2K gets a NFL license to make football games, it will raise the bar for the football games like it has with basketball.Same could be said with wrestling, but I dont see them making a wrestling game without WWE as the host.

WWF No Mercy uses this system, but could only be changed through Gameshark.

There should a "none" option for all move types. If a wrestler does not climb the turnbuckle ever, he should have "none" in the move category so he is not able to climb at all.

Something that should be in the game is "sequence of moves". Don't get this confused with "comeback moves". This are the CPU manually doing these moves from their move set. For example, HBK will do attempt to do Reverse Atomic Drop > Scoop Slam > Elbow Drop > Sweet Chin Music.

They need to bring back "Favorite Moves" also.

That's a good idea too. There is so much more THQ could do with the series. They could really step it up and become the true simulation Pro Wrestling game.
