yeah WM was not great this year, i think it was because of the heat in Miami, made the matches slow and grueling. also the few weeks before WM the buildup was good. (it was good right after Elimination Chamber, but then started sucking about 3 weeks before WM)

Extreme Rules might be good because the expectations aren't as high as they were going into WM. i bet Jericho vs Punk is much better this time then it was at WM, although I thought the segment on raw last night with Punk walking taking the sobriety test was the worst segment i've seen in some time by WWE. it was so bad, although the basic premise of Y2J calling out Punk for being straight edge was relevant and well delivered at first, it has not been going in a good direction. Punk's faking being an alcoholic wasn't funny or creative, and honestly it just makes Punk look bad. Punk's stock has decreased from last summer.

Case in point: in last night's segment, when Punk decided to recite the alphabet backwards the 2nd time (to prove that he was faking all along, and that he's really sober), he couldn't recite it backwards! he said z...y...x...w...v...u....s...t....

the angle of Jericho attacking Punk's straight edge lifestyle could have really been great and relevant to the SES of two years ago. however, the buildup of it has not been really great, except for Jericho's first promo on the subject and a few other times. lets hope the match at Extreme Rules actually provides us with a match worth talking about. With it being a Chicago street fight, we still probably won't get a long exciting back and forth technical wrestling match like the match where Punk beat Cena last summer to win the title.

Bryan vs Sheamus 2 out of 3 falls could be good, though I hope Bryan doesn't win. D Bryan has gotten really annoying. Cena vs Brock should be good too. Cody vs Big Show rematch should be good, as that arguably was one of the best matches at WM.

I agree. I like what they're doing, really I think Brock doesn't need to talk that much. he's not great on the mic, but i agree he does have buckets of charisma. that's actually one example of a guy with charisma without good mic work. I agree I like what they are doing with him, being a hard core heel and not a fake heel. it hasn't been done in WWE in a while.

He's probably the first guy in months to actually get mostly boos when feuding with Cena. He's a great heel, and he'd be even better if Heyman came back with him.

I really wanted Cena to say "You don't need an Attitude Adjustment, you need an FU" or something along those lines. He doesn't need to rap, but give him something.
Heyman was good introducing Lesner back in the day, but I think part of it Brock was saying is he's not naive anymore, and now he's gunna take it one step further and make demands. the segment on raw last night wasn't great, and much more raunchy than any other WWE superstar. Brock said himself he's not a superstar, but just likes to beat people up. we'll see if he can beat Cena up. I don't think Cena will let Brock win like he let the Rock win, because unlike the Rock, Brock seems to be here to stay. (or at least a week in week out WWE wrestler for a while)

Cena's a company man. He'll do what he's asked. I don't see how Brock can lose his first match back. He has to win to be a credible dominant heel.

I have to disagree about Lesnar needing a mouthpiece. He's his own man now, that's what WWE is trying to get over. And like others have said, he's put out there that he's just an old fashioned *** kicker. Personally I get the badass vibe from him big time, and clearly he's done well enough on the mic in getting over with the crowd as an *******.

Solid show all together, despite the usual ****ting on everything by some folks around here.

Yeah, when you think about it, a mouthpiece would do more harm than good. He's stumbles a lot on the mic, but he gets his point across. He should not be doing many long promos, however.

I think Brock's mic issues are due to several things:

Back when he was in WWE, Heyman was his mouthpiece. In UFC, besides an interview here and there, he really wasn't required to speak in his promos.

Now he's back, and they're asking him to be an actor, which he obviously isn't. I'm sure if given an unrated chance, he'd let fly what he really feels, complete with f bombs, lol....(I still remember him dissing a beer company for not sponsoring him in UFC.......!)

Alright i'm getting a little sick of Brock, good storyline development between the 2 tho.

Hope Cena just goes crazy on Brock at Extreme Rules.

The best part of watching Raw or Smackdown (or any PPV) a couple of days later is reading this thread right after watching the show and LMAO again with all of your comments

BTW, a really cool gift to Cena
